Idea 1: I know slaanesh isn't purely about physical pleasure, but right now the daemonettes don't convey anything slaanesh. They make me think that they should be a female zoat, flying on the clamshell ship with their crab claws. Please make a more appealing daemonette. If you do this, you also get the right to add this to your sig "I'm bringing sexy back".

 

This doesn't mean turn them into a breast monster. Just make them less hideous. Maybe more inline with how the nettes looked on the codex cover art. Maybe less bald, but definitely more eye appealing.

 

Idea 2: Better Lord of Change. For years people have complained about how nasty the model looks. The original model sucked, and the newer one sucks. The body is oddly shaped, and the robes are unfashionable. It has geisha sleeves, and a native american's buttcloth. For this, maybe you could make him more birdlike, but unclothed, or make it more man-ish with realistic clothing. Then to convey the tzeentch theme, do something crazy with the wings. One feathered, and one corroded aflame.

 

 

Idea 3: Cooler tzeentch screamers. The current ones are static, and really hard to make impressive. I have never seen a conversion of one, so it must not be much to work with. GW art link Maybe a simple manta shape with sting ray tail to start with, and then have them coiling, flying, and doing other crazy stuff. Have one flying with tail coiled under and forward, ready to pierce someone through the heart.

 

Model me naked. Not even Grey Knights can stand before the pure evil of that image.

I absolutely think the contest should be for the best GENERIC, non-aligned Daemon. It doesn't have to take any particular shape, just so long as it is not your usual nurgle fair.

 

I say this because I truly think you guys should be casting your own Daemons, and what people need now are non-crappy generic Daemon models (the new GW ones are ... woah, talk about TRYING to sink your business).

Elemental Spirits (Lesser daemons)- They could either be the tradtional Earth/fire/water/air spirits, or could be "new" concepts like Daemons of Fear, Daemons of Pain, Daemons of Misery- basically "lesser" demons than those of the big 4 powers...

TBH, I think a new generic Demon Prince would be the best. The current one is pro, but just feels very Khorn-ish (maybe its just the head?)

Something really amazing which I haven't seen pulled off well yet would be a model to represent the new Angron datasheet which has been released for apocalypse. I'd really like to see something which could make the 12 bloodthirster bodyguard look small by comparison.

 

Whatever you two choose to pick I'm sure both models will be more than worthy of casting and I look forward to following this closely.

I highly recommend reading Liber Chaotica for ideas grin.gif It's a great book, and it has some great pics. Also, for inspiration...look at this art:

For nurgle...I have been toying the idea of thin plaguebearers. They are basically shriveling and weild uruk-hai weapons with evident nurglyness to them. For khorne...some new bloodletters would be cool!

Ok my two cents for what its worth...

Thumbing through the codex the first few that jump out as casts that need something are.

1. Fiends of Slannesh; its just dumb I mean its dumb I cant think of anything else to say but the model is sad; anything done to it would improve it thats for sure is there any models like Yuan Ti or such that would make a much more suiting Slanny.

2. Well this is just personal but next is Beasts of Nurgle first we got some crappy snail looking thing now I just dont know wth its supposed to be really i havent gotten to hold one of the models in my hands yet but from what I see they really dont have any resemblance much less fit the color in the codex some either a maggot or something that has to do with rot or at least a beetle something that would eat the flesh of the dead right?

3. This again is a personal Id like to see a plague bringer or something close on a mount of nurgle of somekind in the rules it only mentions the palanquin but it also refers to it as a mount which seems like its open to interpretation but I did see one on another page but i cant remember what he was riding wether it be a beast of nurgle <your new cast> or something else again a maggot would be cool or a beetle again just would like to see that urr wait think i saw a plague bringer riding a fly anyway.

4. Wow sucking all my good ideas outta me umm never seen a cool fig for The Changling or the Fateweaver and well all the Tzeentch models bite it so any of them would be an improvement really no immediate ideas dont read much of the fluff on the other pantheons Im a nurgle fanatic so is hard to picture what these should be thier fluff certainly would imply some egyptian imagery as mentioned before.

5. Now this would be a challenge if u ask me for mounted a Chariot of Slannesh would involve multiple models along with a vehicle as well plus Chariots are just dope anyway and theres no cool 40k ones never would imagine what one would look like that far into the future LOL....

6. A nurgling base would be ultra funny to see what u too would make saw one with a snowman onetime lol hilarious....

7.The new bloodletters and daemonettes are superb i think the daemonettes looked fine before but thier claws were silly big and fat and I like the lack of coverage lol bloodlettes finally looked scary so nothing on them sorry dont know why i put that lol.

8. u both bot Grinders going and have both done multiple GUOs as well as DPs I remember Mr. N his was a skinnier version of a nurgle and very cool.. So those are no good but either the Thirster or Big bird could use improvement not scary at all I think the Thirster could be much better.

9. Now this would be dependant upon what model u choose but once u pick then have a set amount of specific wargear that has to be represented in one way or another on said model wether it be iron hide or flight or what not anytype just same amount and must be distinctly noticeable...

10. Im not much for dioramas or full fledged posing with another model cant cast that well lol and i wont be able to use him so stay away from those lol kidding...

I dont know thats all i can think about atm and sorry if im off base will try to think of something more bizarre tomorrw..

11. Oh ya I liked the idea of the generic daemons for CSM force ive been using nurglings and plaguebringers as proxy but it would be nice to see sometype of just undivided type like furies something thats unique and has no distinct tie to other pantheons furies now are somewhat gargoylish not a fan no clue what youd make one either everything I try to imagine has somekind of link to the other4 so sorry but a generic lesser model would be nice whatever.

A Daemon Prince of Slaanesh diorama. There is a guardsmen on his knees, weaponry fallen on the ground beside him, and he is staring in awe up at this immaculately beautiful creature. The Daemon, from the front, looks like some sort of beautiful goddess, with white and purple angelic wings, a very slender, sexy figure, ornate purple and gold armor, a light skin tone, staring down at the guardsman with a "come hither" kind of smile. However, when you look at the back of the model, you see what is really there. Tentacles, mutations, scars, a tail, faces of trapped souls within the armor, a darker skin tone, the back of the wings are black, etc. I've always wanted to see something like this done with a model.

mkay so how about a nurgle DP(who is more on the skinny side, not as bloated as most of u 2's nurgle creations) with his knees slightly bent and his head thrown back in laughter, holding a sword in his left hand and a guardsman(maybe a sarge?) in the other.

 

The guardsman should have a look of agony across his face and him in the process of succumbing to disease from the DP turning him into a zombie/plaguebearer.

 

The DP's armor(partially still there) in shards or with bloated tissue covering it partially and the armor rusted or corroding. The DP maybe has wing? up to you guys.

 

And Finally the base. I have in mind either sludge of a mostly decayed world withe zombies floating in it like in the 2nd HH book or my favorite idea, scattered corpses of fallen guardsmen(maybe the other one's squad) decaying/bloating/etc. and turning into plague zombies or plague bearers. Or even maybe there could be fallen marines who are doing the same as the fallen guard. this could be on a agri-world or some other imperial holding.

 

Think The Gheistos Cataclysm from the 5th ed Rulebook pg 152. Thatd be a sweet setting.

something better than a sarge, lieutenant or something with a PF or something to make it clear that it's some one who thought they had a chance against it.

I'd like to see some mutant models. Preferably nurgle themed but generic would work too. Possibly something that could be designed to work with Ork boyz plastics if you were to cast a torso and head bit. Maybe make some champion arm bits that were lugging a big axe dragging one side of it into the ground, due to the weight, as they walked forward.

 

Personally I've always wanted to build a mutant horde but there is a real lack of cheap head options. Casting somthing like that would be a dream come true for me, and I'm sure others as well. They would work great as generic lesser daemons.

Haha Well as it sits right now MFV and I have come to the conclusion that the first things we will start on will be a Generic Khornate Greater Daemon and after that is the Tzeneeethchsnmetxzh one ( I can never spell that wacky name). Out of the majority of the models and what GW produces these Need the most help. though ours will be generic and bearing no marks of GW or anything.

 

Keep the ideas flowing Were making a list so this will help us with future plans, and knowing what people want for us making miniatures and casts.

Listening to the radio today, I heard "Devil went down to Goregia", and thought that a Khornate or Undivided Chaos Demon on a stump "bargining" with a S.M./Guardsmen for his soul (knowing full well that the Daemon would take it by force anyway:evil:) would be a pretty cool idea.

What I want to see sculpted is this, a Daemonette standard bearer using that banner to fullest. I'm talking late night gentlemans club. Hehehe... I'm just weird but I always wanted to see a pole dancing daemonette. I think if you do though you should make the tail slightly more devil like and less like a amputated lizard but. Lol...

For a non-aligned daemon, how about having the body made from the absorbed flesh of its victims, not sure how best to visualise this let alone sculpt it, but a large (ogreish in scale) creature built from the bodies of humans, emalgamated into one creature so you could have a screaming human head as a kneecap, and the remainder of it's leg built from arms, a ribcage at the widest point of the thigh etc and generic flesh/musculature to fill the gaps.

 

As far as poses go, it has to be imposing and radiate power and menace, but I'm not entirely sure how best to acheive that besides the old cliche of the pointed finger! :)
