40kChrista Posted August 11, 2008 Share Posted August 11, 2008 ok MFV and Mr. N.. those concepts look darn good. can't wait to see the roughs for these!!! :( on a side note i think having unaligned demons, unaligned greater demon... perhaps with the champ ripped to shreds at it's feet, 60mm base maybe? and i am excited to see you guys do something other than Nurgly stuff, for the Horsemen i think you should do the Nurgly one last as you are both excellent at the decay and rot of Nurgle. Or (IMHO better) a Keeper of Secrets like the original one, i.e. 4 arms (2 x hands and 2 x crab claws), minotaur head, chainmail + leather-type armour + boots, but the same size/a little bigger than the current one? I'd give the round of sketches to Mr. Nipples, as MFV's "Daemon" simply looks like a Horror that hit the steroids a bit TOO hard (Even though it IS only a preliminary "quick draw"). Metal Fingered Villain Posted August 12, 2008 Share Posted August 12, 2008 In my original sketch, he had pieces of ornate amour here and there, he will be a tad more humanoid in appearance with arcane runes inscribed all over his flesh. The fluff for him that I've been tossing around involves the Greater Demon dabbling with the strings of fate and trying to usurp tzeentch amidst his crystal palace, the daemon was driven mad with knowledge as Tzeentch cast him down and his body began mutating more and more and is still constantly flowing and changing, arms erupting out trying to claw to a new existance as they receed back into the flesh and something new appears etc... and he's just a crazy senile greater daemon unleashing violence and madness upon the imperium, yadidiadaida. Lame? not to sure myself. I just like the fact that tzeentch is the god of mutation, I thought with so many avian greater daemons why shouldn't one not embody the ever changing? (From Wiki so might not be very acurate) Malal is described as being both lupine and crocodilian in appearance, yet still having a humanoid form. Depicted to have six fingers on each hand, five horns and three eyes on his head, Malal is also shown to have sets of teeth that resemble a mix of lions', shark, horse and rat. Malal's symbol is a skull bisected down the middle, one half white, the other half black. As for other ideas, Marines in tourists clothing instead of their powerarmour. Use multiple wires and have them slightly intertwined. forming various flowing patterns and such.
