Biohazard
I like to see this thread being updated due to all the yellowey awesomeness. The MotF is looking great so far. Where did te servo arms and other bits on his back come from? Dosjetka
He looks a bit busy for my taste, but I love the servo arms and the choice of head. And yes, that power weapon is indeed quite ambiguous :jaw: Â Ludovic Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/145455-additionsalterations-imperial-fists/page/10/#findComment-3248837 Share on other sites
AlexCrute
Devastator Plasmacannon backpack, searchlight back and normal backpack, 2 x enginseer servo arms, assorted hacked bits of Jes Goodwin 90s servitor/techmarine arms, and I believe the rocket loader servitor's arm from an exorcist tank were the ingredients. Which makes him a $200 conversion or something, but whatever: and another idea because, y'know, BOOMzzzp: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/145455-additionsalterations-imperial-fists/page/10/#findComment-3249384 Share on other sites
Biohazard
Hes gonna look great with some paint on, thanks for the parts list. I really like the look of the newest weapon. Is it a conversion beamer? Im not too hot on Imperial tech Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/145455-additionsalterations-imperial-fists/page/10/#findComment-3252503 Share on other sites
AlexCrute
Oh yes, yes indeed. A Conversion Beamer. I have this idea of making use of the hollowness to model a bionic arm in there. Filling it in or plasticarding over it seems like a cheap solution. Biohazard
That would look sweet. Im guessing youre going to magnetize the arm. Unknown Chronicler
I don't think I need to tell you that this army looks great already, I love you conversions and special the weapons, I might take a few of those for myself if you don't mind, keep up the good work, I'll be watching closely brother ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/145455-additionsalterations-imperial-fists/page/10/#findComment-3253365 Share on other sites
AlexCrute
Thanks gents, Â Yep magnets are a central part of my army-building philosophy. It's appropriate for an initiate of the Martian mysteries to have a detachable arm, no? AlexCrute
I'm getting steadily happier with this bloke: There's an arm in there, but not bionic. I had the thought when I chose his head (being entirely organic, and hirsute to boot) that this particular Martian initiate regards the Emperor's superhuman creations as proof positive of mankind's primacy. As such the Adeptus Astartes physical form - being itself the Emperors own handiwork - is not to be sullied by crude bionics except where injury makes those necessary. This fiercely held view brought him to blows with several of his Medusan counterparts during his time on Mars, but despite these violent altercations and seven hundred years of active duty with the Imperial Fists he has never suffered injury more severe than his ascension surgeries. He does however keep four severed and scrimshandered metallic fingers as trophies from his early years, and as proof that Emperor-wrought flesh is at least the equal of iron. Chapter badge to to replace the absent pauldron. A Master of the Forge knows that the armour's war spirit must be respected at all times.
