Shrike, that gun in the quote is an inferno cannon, not a heavy flamer. But I would go with Shrike's suggestion of heavy flamer and plasma cannon.

I've seen it used as a heavy flamer therefore i say its a heavy flamer.

Even though it's mentioned as an Inferno Cannon in at least 3 places?

Also, where did you see it used as a Heavy Flamer.

EDIT: And it's a bit too big to be a Heavy Flamer.

If we ere playing a game, i'd let him use it as a heavy flamer, because it's not as good as an inferno cannon :)

Update: My Sicarius counts-as is finished, i'll edit this post with some pics in a bit.

Had a move around of my workspace, again i'll put some pics up in a bit.

And now my birthday is over with, I can concentrate on getting some more exclusive models done! It's HALF TERM NOW!!!

Oh yeah, forgot to say:

Guys I will [EDIT: not, sadly. I'm low on funds at the mo and want to get a cadian battleforce first] be ordering from forgeworld soon and plan on getting a MkIV or Ven MK IV dread, 2x MK IV arms and one normal arm for my AOBR dread. Any help deciding what to get?

I'm thinking of either getting this: and using it as an ironclad.

http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/acatalog/mkivdreadstore.jpg

Or getting this: and using it a a venerable dreadnought.

http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/acatalog/mkivvendreadnoarms.jpg

If I go ironclad, I will probably use it with:

http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/acatalog/assaultdrillmkiv.jpg (use as a seismic hammer and convert a heavy flamer)

and:

http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/acatalog/ccwrst.jpg (CCW with converted heavy flamer)

But if I go venerable, would I be better off going for a long range shooty vehicle dread? or long range shooty infantry dread? or close combat dread?

The arm for the normal dread will probably be:

So, if I got ironclad, my forgeworld cart looks like this:

What do you guys think?

Awesome!

Honestly, Dan, a dread painted by you will look awesome!

Thanks

Here are those pics I was talking about: He will be my Sicarius counts as, He is also the first model I have tried sculpting with, unfortunately I didn't have any green stuff, so I tried blue-tac with super glue over the top. Not bad for my first attempt at hair. And when I painted him I found that he looks like a kid in my form group at school. :wallbash: I didn't even mean for him to look like that

So... once again, please comment :P

Good looking model and nice sculpting work :). Your work place looks very well to. To bad i dont have space for something like that ^_^ .

Well, space is still a bit of an issue. I'm stuck with the smallest bedroom in the house. Even though my brother moved out 2 years ago, my parents still wont let move into his much larger, empty room. And the rest of my room is full of bed :P

that banner top on your ca sicarus looks strangely familiar.... ;)

nice work, and good luck on the conversion for the ironclad, look orward to seeing it done... did you ever finish the pred with autocannons, can't remember seeing it?

Andy

Familiar?

The Decimator is ready for painting, but because of the cold weather, I haven't been able to spray the base of black, the cold just makes it go grey and cracked. I'll have to wait until the weather warms up a bit.

the site your at on your computer looks awesome how do i get to it ;)

Only the best :)

thats superb work right there and it's good to see someone else has used blu-tac for these sorta things. I must say though your army is looking rather, how shall I phrase this: AWESOME!

Thanks :D

So..How does one sculpt with blu-tac?

I just put a blob on top of his head, then used the side of a hobby knife to shape the hair, more like pulling it down and flattening it, then using the sharp part of the blade to make it look like long straight hair.

Then I just covered it with GW super glue to make it go hard and create a barrier between it and the paint.

Originally I was only testing and was planning on taking it off after, but then I grew fond of it :)

dear god sir...your blue is amazing

I think I have to quit painting now :'(

XD thanks ;)

Oh, one more thing:

Coming soon to a computer near you:

It's the largest update this topic has ever seen, and IT WILL BLOW YOU AWAY!

At least I hope it does.

Well, here goes:

Here we have the latest shots of my Predator Decimator, my finished AOBR dreadnought, Termy Assault Squad sergeant, and Cassius, as well as my Termy armoured inquisitor lord, and two heavy weapon guys, the plasma will replace the lascannon in the first tac squad to make an all plasma squad ;) hope you liky.

PHEW! glad that's over with, soooo many image codes :)

nice work mate,

Your Dread looks VERY similar to mine, just yours has a fanny flap lol.

Nice Mentor, liking that green. I Think a black wash needs to go over the silver though, bit too bright in contrast with the green

Sweet progress though - whats next?
