This my only finished Beast of Nurgle

And these are a finished and WIP Plaguebearer

There are alot more Plaguebearers and some nurglings to, but i thought this got the point across. The painting on the demon's skin come across as a little flat in these sometimes, it is better looking in real life. Right now im working on more bearers, beasts and then maybe a forge world GUO, after that im done with 1,500 pts and its on to my Death Guard.

Yea they are carrion wings, just glued em on and filled in the gaps. The DP is the most recent, i took a 2 year break from painting and just started up again this past summer, so i have been regaining my skills slowly. I wish i could go back and repaint the other demons with the techniques and tricks (and the new washes, love them.) that i know now, but eh. They are good enough.

Thank you!

The green is a basecoat of catachan green, followed by layering a mix of camo and catachan. This is then given a pure highlight of camo which is then progressively highlighted up with rotting flesh. Then i give all of this a ogryn flesh wash and a final highlight of pure rotting flesh.

The flesh is a basecoat mix of a rotting flesh/liche purple/catachan green mix. I forget the ratio, i mixed up a pot of this when i started the army. this is then given a dry brush of rotting flesh plus that mix and then washed in patches with leviathan purple and thraka green, make sure to leave some patches of the basecoat. This is then re-layered with a rotting flesh/basecoat mix and then highlighted up to pure rotting flesh. This is then higlighted up with skull white/rotting flesh in the most prominent places.

Hope that helps, sorry i dont have ratios, i just eyeball it.

Those are two of the FW Nurgle Ogryns. Wasn't to sure about them when i first saw them online but they are actually really nice models.

That is AWESOME!

Also, did Scabby (giant GUO) come with a base? I'm thinking of getting him.

Also, if it's no trouble, could you post a pic of him next to, say, a space marine for size comparison?

(Captain Malachi)- The skin has much more depth in real life. The light i was using for the pics just washed it out because the skin tone is so light. They are more of a green and purple tone to them, so a brown wash would probably dull that down to much and take the focus of colors in a more, well brown direction.

(djkest) - No, im gonna use them as Beast of Nurgle in my Demon army and evantaully i am going to make a Traitor guard army, at which point they will become actual ogryns, ill probably add more to the unit then too.
