Greets,

I've got the armor base done and I'm working the highlights in. I've applied an orange wash to the runes to try to tone them down.

I tried to do blond hair on him (younger Njal :P ) Too yellow?

I was thinking about making the fur white and the claws black. I'll try for a polar bear look. Would that look decent and will it still count as a "wolf pelt"?

Great looking model...the conversion is top notch, without being over-blown. For blonde hair, try Komando Khaki as a base, wash with Graveyard Earth, then highlight up with Komando Khaki, then Bleached Bone. From there, all you really need is to glaze in a bit of yellow (preferably a yellow ochre) to add a golden 'shimmer' to the hair. Pull up pictures of blondes online, and look at their hair...you can glaze in other colors as well to create more depth and realism.

I'll be watching this thread!

@LunchBox - thanks for the comments and thanks for the painting advice. I'm sure I didn't do it right, but I did get it to bring the tone down to a some what normal level.

@jsutter - awesome, just what I wanted. Thanks for finding a pic for me.

Greets,

I did the pelt in white rather than the normal brown. There is just too much brown on this guy already. The majority of the frost weapon is done. I just have to finish the gold and add a little boltgun to the "motor". I forgot about the pouches not having any wrinkles, so I tried to add them during the painting process.

Flaws? Tips to improve?
