Well i've been hovering around the boards lately wondering what i should do for my next force, and heres one of the test miniatures i'm working on.

I'm basically just trying out the freehand and modelling style.

Will update this regularly, C&C welcome.

Thanks.

The painting job and the pose are JUST GREAT !!!

IMHO, I think that the powa sword, the banner and back pack with little headies divert from the face. Attention must stay focused on the screaming head. Silvery studs would have a more "punchy" visual effect on black and warm tones too, even a dulled silver.

But its a very very (did I say very ?) elegant job you did.

Keep on going !!!

Great legion trooper. Is the head from the new skele box set? I've only been using the old ones since I thought the new ones looked a little odd. After seeing this, I may have to reconsider.

That's one of the skulls in the new Skeleton box for WH Fantasy, which, by the way, are much better than the old ones, both in anatomy and quality of the sculpt.

I think the two helmeted heads on the backpack are from the new grave guard box, but could be the champion of the skelly box, not sure about that.

It's grave guard. Where did ya get that sword btw?

Its all Grave Guard, the screaming skull is a conversion the lower jaw is taken from another head within the box set.

I'm a vampire counts fan aswell as Marines so creating a LotD force seems to mesh to two ideas.

Thanks, i'm working away on more flames etc will get a pic to show soon.

Absolutely amazing! I'm no foot worshipper, but I actually thought the foot bones were modelled and was studying the model to see if I recognised where they're from; which proves that you're doing a great job and that I should in fact wear my glasses.

...But my real compulsion for replying is the fact I saw my own name, haha! Brilliant stuff, gotta love the AD, may be a bit confusing with two RT's though!
