Bit of a random question bevulf when there's a lot more obvious things to ask... and apologies if it's already been covered and I missed it but how did you paint the gold/bronze on your Deathwing? I really like the muted tone you have on the pauldron rims in particular as I think it'll match well on normal troopers too.

The new additions are looking great by the way, I think your army is coming together really nicely and I can't wait to see the devastators. Consistently brilliant is the term I think i'd like to use when describing your work.

Greetings guys,

haven't been here for a while...

here are my latest additions:

1. Some assault marines:

2. Devastators (5 heavy weapons to choose from):

I also started my first Land Raider. It will be dark green (not bone white). Painted interior:

I did simple conversion on one of the doors - I removed the skull and glued the sword in its place:

Right now the model is fully assembled and primed.

Brother Haxagon Sun,

it is very simple. Use Scorched Brown + Shining Gold as a basecoat, paint first layer of pure shining Gold, 2nd layer of shining gold + dot of Mithril Silver. Last layer of pure mithril silver as a delicate highlight. Wash it with watered down mix of Scorched brown and Chaos black (1:1 mix).

They look awesome bevulf!

The assault marines are close to my heart - given how unloved they are in our current Codex and how cool they look! Devs also look great - is there a story for the trimmed shoulder pad? ;)

Multi-melta marine is my favorite! B)

Good luck with the LR.

Thank you guys. I know what you mean Stobz - I too have problems with finding time for this hobby.

Cpt. Semper, you mean the one from plasma cannon marine? This guy is in fact the old metal plasma guy from dark angels tactical box (released in 2002 perhaps). Plasma cannon as well as backpack, arms and shoulder pads are very tiny.

I regret now that I haven’t vowed In ETL. I could easily bring some points to our cause…Forgive me brothers ^_^

WOW!!!

Amazing work! Did you freehand the logo on the top of the rhino or do a template? I was going to tact symbols on mine but I love the DA symbol, mind if I steal that?

thank you guys ! For tracks I used track wash from AK interactive - very useful wash (I used it on my rhino tracks too).

I also used several different pigments (from black to light ochre) from Vallejo range on the bottom of the hull...

The DA symbol is a freehand. I do not use templates and transfers for my models.

You can of course steal that - I am glad that you like it (this is not my own idea - it was first used on 'eavy metal DA rhino from 2002 ^_^ ).
