It's been a slow week, but I've finished the next white repaint.

Here are the next victims to finish off this squad.

Beaut work ODM, great to see your DW have the epic looking white armour. Certainly my favorite.

Can't wait to see a whole army pic. (I haven't scrolled through the 17 pages lately to check if you have already)

It's easy to remember why we are DA fans when we get to look at all the cool as green, black and white done by good artists.

Very nice work there. Personally I prefer the black TDA, but, well, Plains world and all that...

maybe you should look into creating a pre-heresy Dark Angels Army? With all those winged helms...and cloaks...adn of course, our illustrious Primarch!

Thanks guys, glad you like them. I like the pure white more than the bleached bone for the deathwing. Although I liked the black too, I have decided to bring them up do date. It also makes them look different than the Ravenwing units they often are seen with.

Good one ODM :tu:

Keep the Articifer and his servitors busy

Nice contrast to the RW, we are very lucky to have three paintjobs in one dex, IMO it helps to prevent boredom and looks great.

:)

Just thinking, the BA have red, black and now gold units so we aren't that special anymore :)

Kepp it up,

Looks good ODM. That's not my favorite model to use as a base for a Belial conversion but your paint job looks good as always and the extra details you added turn an ok model into one worthy to lead a force of termies across the board.

edit: My first wording sounded bad.

Thanks guys.

I did like the black, but I'm very happy with how they're coming along in white. I think they'll look quite nice on the table and it's nice to have a color scheme that matches the DA codex.

I generally agree about the model, but I did the conversion a few years ago. I imagine at some point (maybe sooner than later) he'll become a squad leader and I'll make a new Belial. Half the time I seem to use him with lightning claws anyway.

Well, I'm away from home for the next few months, but I brought some paints. Unfortunately, no good camera either so these are cell phone pics.

Here are some bad pictures of what I've been slowly working on for the last few months as a background project, but now it'll be the main one. Anyway, the command squad is ready. I might paint another squad next, but I also have some new termies to build.

I think the robes could all use a little extra something. I'd do variations of check or dash marks on the edges of the robes. You can see what I mean in a good amount of DA artwork, a good example is on the cover of the decent of angels book. I think it would give the robes that little extra to make them pop, because currently they blend too much against the background armour color.

This banner is awesome!!! The whole squad looks amazing! Obviously, as Droma said, a liitle contrast between robes and armour will pronounce your detailed work even more, but only if you feel very confident (I'm lousy with free-hand myself but judging from the banner you do not have such issues).

Excellent work ODM!

Thanks guys.

Yes, the banner's freehand. Took a little time, but it was worth it.

I think the detailing on the robes is a good idea. I didn't want to repaint them green, as I like the monochrome look, but I know something's missing. I have a hankering for some fiddly painting, so maybe I'll work on something there next.

Sorry about the crappy photos. I've attached the guy I painted up today.

So, that leaves 9 more still in black armor who need to be updated.

At that point, I'll add some new models and then detail the robes a little more for those who wear them. My main goal for now is to get all the armor updated first.
