DV8: You mind if I steal your conversion? 'Cause I think I might have to. Been thinking about how to do a nice Ragnar conversion for weeks now, and this is it!

Also, I need to get started on my own lord for this competition.

well...heres my wolf lord conversion. With my mediocre, or next to pathetic sculpting skills, i present you my incarnation of Kjarl Grimblood. I opted for power armor over the terminator armor so he can go with more units, but wargear wise, he basically has a frost axe, belt of russ, and a combi flamer(because he is the master of the Fire Wolves).

So tell me..do you guys think the axe is to big? My idea for the axe came off ok, not great, but overall i think its a bit to big now for power armor. Figured i would get a little feedback on him first before i prime and paint him. Also now that i got it converted up and get to look at it, really debating on keeping the combi flamer or just giving him a pistol of sorts. Plasma is still technically a flame weapon right...it just burns with the intensity of a star =)

Damn brothers, I haven't been able to paint Warhammer models for over 3 months straight! School is taking literally every woken hour! But, I've managed to assemble the bits and such that I need to make my Sven Bloodhowl and it may turn out quite nice :P

GOnna try and complete him during Christmas but I dunno if I'll make it.....I'll give it a damn good try if nothing else.

More than just the body, it's four out of the five pieces that the Khan comes in.

I'm most interested in the right poleyn. I can't quite tell if DV8's removed the lightning bolt icon there, but if so I'd love to get a few tips. I've not begun on that yet, as it looks much too easy to screw up without first getting insight from someone who's done it. :D

I just used a hobby knife and sand paper. It took a while because I wanted to to keep the laurels intact, but if you don't mind getting rid of those too, it should take you no time at all. The key is to just go slow make precise cuts to get rid of the bulk of the lightning bolt, and then sand paper to finish off.

Well, the laurels look far too nice to remove. It would be a simple matter to just file the poleyn smooth, but the sheer level of surface detail on the Khan model is what makes it so appealling, and I wouldn't want to damage any of it besides what I wanted to replace.

It's one of those things I've not yet attempted. I've been meaning to file, saw, sand, glue, and otherwise modify my Khan figure, I've just not had the time to do anything on that front beyond musing about how I'd do it. :cuss
