Remember brothers, we are on the Aurora chapter currently. Any other information provided at this time will be ignored until we get to that chapter, and indeed may get lost in the shuffle of pages. If you don't want this to happen (I know I don't), as well as clutter up the thread with untimely info, please write down anything you find and save it to a document instead until we get to it. Thanks!

Are we accepting Black Library? Didn't Eisenhorn and his retinue get saved from certain death by Aurora Chapter armour? I haven't read it in a long time.

Editing this post. All this info was taken diretly off Lexicanum with sources of course.I cannot verify until I am home but still hope they are of help.

The First Company was deployed against Chaos cultists during the Goru Heresy.3

The chapter is mentioned in connection with inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn as having been responsible for saving another inquisitor from the daemonhost Cherubael after it slew his entire retinue.4

The Chapter was involved in a conflict with the Knights of the Raven, a fellow Space Marine Chapter. The conflict was ended by the intervention of Marneus Calgar, Chapter Master of the Ultramarines.2b

In 926.M412f, elements of the Chapter were sent to battle the Necron World Engine.2d

An Aurora Chapter Predator spearhead aided Ultramarine Captain Cato Sicarius in the Zeist Campaign circa 999.M41, reclaiming several worlds previously annexed by the expanding Tau Empire, including Augura, which was being used as a Tau staging point.2e

I don't have the Eisenhorn series or Imperial Armour Volume 2 but the rest of Anerythristic's info checks out. In addition the Aurora Chapter's homeworld is Firestorm, as stated in the map on p. 30 of 5th edition Codex: Space Marines.

Thanks, TEC. A few more details for you to work with:

Tactical symbol is red.

Company color and number on right kneepad.

Numbers are those fancy Arabic numerals like the Dark Angels use, not Roman numerals.

As per Insignium Astartes, p. 57.

Erm.... okay... The more recent "Chapters Of The Space Marines" poster seems to disagree. It has the tactical markings in black and the knee in silver....

Top center, under the R in "ASTARTES":

FYI, the MOST recent depiction of Doom Eagles (Legends of the Space Marines cover) agrees with Insignium Astartes.

Okay, since Legends of the Space Marines is the most recent, we'll stick with that. Plus, it's more interesting.

Can you make him Second Company, please, and make the number black. And give him a squad number, please?

I've got Doom Eagles, Eagle Warriors, and Mortifactors done. I also did Novamarines and a marine and a sergeant for the Genesis Chapter but I just noticed the chapter symbols are misaligned like my Aurora Chapter.

LOL

I'll get to work on the Doom Eagle MKIII then :)

Can anyone amplify some of these a bit, please? We need to turn some of these sentences into paragraphs.

Is it worth making a note as to which Primogenitors appear in the (more conservative) Apocrypha of Davio, and which do not? Doom Eagles, for example, aren't listed in the current Codex – which implies that they're one of the 23 mentioned in the Apocrypha of Skaros (or at least somewhere else).
