Loken86 Posted June 10, 2010 Author Share Posted June 10, 2010 Brothers I may not be able to complete my pledge for the CoC as im about to move to my new home and have to wait a month for the internet to be connected :P While im still working on Tarcil ive decided to add some bikes to my Night Lords so heres my WiP of my 2nd company Captain he and his command squad will be based on jetbikes. I will post what list ive come up with but i plan to use the Space marine 5th edtion codex and not the Dark Angel codex. Since we can see in the dark and all i find my headlights and searchlamps kind of silly. I guess it doesn't stop us from using them. The blue part on the back of the lord bike. Is it the finished blue you will be applying to your bikes and the rest of your models? I think it could use a little shadow under the trim. Not much. I like your golds too! Dan The Deamon Posted July 16, 2010 Share Posted July 16, 2010 this is kind of what i'm talking about. It's called blacklining, or shading, or whatever... You take badaab black, black ink, or chaos black(watered down) and paint a thin line between the trim and armor sections that creates a shadow and defines the colors. there's a before and after. It doesn't look like much in these shoddy pics but with your blue/gold it will help keep them separate. I blackline just about every crease/armor segment that comes on my models. It keeps them dark and defines everything rather clearly. It is not used as often as it once was but still has applications. I'm starting to regret not setting up my tripod for those... My only plea is that you paint them or something because seeing that tooth paste bottle caps just kinda makes me want to laugh. Not at the models, no they're awesome. I just have the vivid image of a stream of Collgate comin from the back of the bike. WITH MY LIGHTNING CLAW!!! you should use a Count as a claw weapon, like a power bastard sword or a heavy Spear. for I think an apothicary needs both is hand to cure a fellow marine.
