I guess one of my beefs is that they always restrict Assault Marines to beakies... DoW I had it somewhat correct with Mk VII Assault Squads, the mods made it better as there was now beakies, Aquilas and Errants for all Marine classes, while DoW II defaulted it to beaky Marines if you haven't given them any upgrades... it's not just the Ravenguards who had Assault Marines ya'know...

When...I was re-reading this thread from the start so much while at work, when looking at work related stuff all I saw was  ..you know you are a Black Templar when.... at the start of every sentence I was reading. true story. Had to take a few moments to adjust my eyes.

Titan the robot, apparently it was the real deal. There was a clean air road show going on in my city center so maybe.

 

...what goes black white black white black white..  a penguin rolling down a hill.  ..nah, when you correct the end of that old joke with,  a Black Templar cutting his way through a horde of xenos.

 

..when your missus starts quoting DoW soul storm phrases during normal conversion.

 

 

.....when you recently Crusaded every map on said game, and felt a sense of justice when putting some dark angels to the sword and bolter. Don't worry, they were fallen to chaos, cough 'promise' cough.

 

......when in said game some final battles lasted near to an hour, the only thing keeping you going was our mighty ZEAL!!

 

Playing each map with all armies slots open, when getting to the last few races they are pretty dug in and well supplied with resource. when I say one battle I mean not the round but an actual battle where me and the AI were constantly battling. Was glorious, lasted about an hour this one engagement, both getting the upper hand and losing it, pouring troops into it in a constant stream, no let up. Until the other side either run out of resources or I managed to hit part of their base responsible for making troops, I eventually got the upper hand and won. Ah,, going to miss that game when it stops working. on that note

Did not get a direct reply, from what I saw they went with just select VERY few previously asked questions, taking some "on the fly" when they randomly looked at the screen and questions scrolled by fast.

But we got an answer so far that no factions are dropped and ALL models have bespoke rules. Bring back my Sword Brethren.
