If you're using your pistol to shoot your opponent instead of whipping him, you're doing it wrong. You only shoot when the filthy cowards run away and they turn out to be too fast for you to catch up to them.

I'm looking at you, Eldar of all kinds.

...when you launch a crusade on Nurgle and it's not even 8th ed yet (yup, I got sick)

...when you believe Crusading could solve all the Imperium's problems.

...when Crusading is you solution to every problem

...when you get so hyped for a new Crusade you call your FLGS to order more stuff so you can start a new BT Crusade (we're trying to get a box of Calth in so I can launch a MkIV armour crusade)

...when the mentioning of a new Crusade in the game gets you rereading information about past Black Templar Crusades

...when you spell Crusade with a capital C because it's that important

When you launch mini crusades inside a crusade

When your ironclad kills with one shot another ironclad because Templar dreadnoughts are better than any other dreadnought

When you can run without falling with a monk robe

When you don't need the special rule And they shall know no fear because you have +zeal+

When purging heretics is nothing personal, just +zeal+

When you triple check the psyker is dead by shooting his head

When the Imperium at large calls a great crusade but you're not around to join because you're busy with your seven other crusades. About time everyone else remembers what the Templars have never forgotten.

When you have numerous models who won't be able to use the new pistol rules because they have two melee weapons instead.

When you triple check the psyker is dead by shooting his head

You shoot the psyker to doublecheck he's dead. You triplecheck this by stomping on his skull until it shatters beneath your feet. Then you wade through holy water to cleanse the foul witch's tainted blood from your person.

Millennia later, the Chaplain names your boot "Hexenbane", a holy relic for the Emperor's Champion to wear in battle.

When others complain about painting white, and you know they simply lack sufficient zeal.

When you triple check the psyker is dead by shooting his head

Three shall be the number of times thou shalt check, and the number of the checking shall be three.

Brilliant!

...when your youngest neophyte draws you as a son of Dorn(IF) with a battle axe covered in ork ..bits and red goop!

...when you keep "tactica" of armies that consist of pictures of enemy models with annotations on the most effective places to insert your sword.

...when you can't see the Tau pictures because the entire thing is covered in labels.

...when you translate your army datasheets into High Gothic on sheets of vellum with an autoquill and the light of candles.

...you like aprons because they remind you of tabards.

...the airlines won't let you fly because you keep trying to bring a sword with you.

...when you prefer Crusading over flying anyways.

when you face  grey knights and the first maelstrom card you draw is witchhunter

when the grey knight player then screws up 4 of his 5 reserve rolls and the only squad arriving from reserve is a termie squad with two librarians in it

when said squad and librarians then get torn to shreds by your entire angry crusade

You know you're a Black Templar when, in spite of Warhammer 40,000 having quite a few expies of historical people, there's no Inquisitor named Philippe le Bel around because your chapter never stopped crusading all through their multimillennial history instead of becoming bankers of all things.

You are ZEALOUSLY ANGRY with yourself for allowing an allied psyker to "bless" you during a team game against Dark Angels and Salamanders. Brothers how do you cleanse the taint of such a crime?

Fire and "accidental" scatters from Orbital Bombard or Vindicators.

You mean you failed to pass your Deny the Witch Rolls?

Just make sure you shoot the psyker next time... just call it a mistake by the Machine Spirit being unable to distinguish from ally and foe...

The machine spirit deemed the psyker a foe. It's working perfectly fine.

You know you're a Black Templar when someone comes out as bi and you reply with "oh, you like both the bolt pistol and the chainsword? I only use the latter myself."

And they don't punch you in the face in answer because you're a freaking Black Templar.

Yeah, Blood Angel psyker had like 5 dice to get off a power and I wasn't getting my denies at all that day. Given how we were getting massacred earlier I figured I'd let the witch live until the threat we were facing was handled. I need new deny the witch dice...
