Evening all!

The Traitor/Vairocanum: yeah I think you are right brothers, targeter is the way to go so will crack ion with that!

foamy248: welcome on board the crazy hexagon train brother, re the plasticard which part are you talking about? It is just that I have used 3 different thincknesses so far?

Cheers all,

FTE

DSS7: Soon brother soon!

foamy248: Yeah, I know, ridiculous right, but I generally use 0,5mm, 1.0 and 1.5mm

Regarding the tools, I keep it pretty simple:

sockwithaticket: Totes.

So have started on the snout for the "Spartan".

Fell it may be a little too long....

Afternoon all

Bio: Fingers crossed buddy!
DSS7: Thanks brother!, to be fair the forgeworld number is a handsome looking beast, just can't afford one!
The Traitor: Yup, agreed, have changed that a little...

SO that is where we are at for the moment. Have also played with the top armour on the snout, converted up the assault cannons up and the targeter is in.

So, now to cut out the rest of the armour plates, dry fit it all, greenstuff and fill the gaps, lots of sanding, some more sanding and then of course the interior still needs doing....

Cheers all!

The Traitor: Thanks chap, fingers crossed she will look the part! and if you wan to see seamless plasticard work have a look at Blackadders stuff, mine is rather more, shall we say agricultural!

Biohazard; Cheers fella, still need to work out the sponson mounts which is not as easy as hoped!

Vairocanum: And thanks to you too mate, plates are done, the interior will need some work....

Bjorn Firewalker:

Evening all!

Biohazard: Cheers for that fella, it is said that faith can move mountains, i wouldn't know about that, but I have the sponson mounts sorted!

Clearly lots to do to tidy them up, think i am going to drop the scanner into the top of the sponson ring, looks a but weird that far up!

Also a quick shot of all the sub assemblies, won't be glueing it all together until the interior is finished and painted up!

That is all for this evening!

Cheers all!

The lascannons' generators and the flamestorm cannons' fuel tanks will undoubtedly reduce the Land Raider's transport capacity to six models, while increasing its points value to 300 (to account for the flamestorm cannons: 25 pts each) or 320 (if you retain a hull-mounted twin-linked assault cannon). But many Techmarines will undoubtedly say, "Worth it," regarding the prices paid for such firepower.

the spartan has an extended wheelbase and already comes with the extra las cannons as standard with it's extra transport capacity on the data sheet. If changing a normal raider over to a crusader free up 5 spaces dropping 4 lascannons should be enough for the flame storm fuel tanks.

That beast looks amazing and the combination gun is a brutal death machine.

Evening all!

Bjorn Firewalker: When in doubt, gun-up brother, thankfully my marines don't have terribly close ties with Mars!

Vairocanum: Nor can I, but a long way to go yet!

Bio: cheers mate!

Mechanist: Basically my exact thought process, and thanks man! And re the sponsons, I see it as the ultimate all round armament.

The Traitor: I honestly could not work out why I didn't like it, until redneckboss pointed it out.

redneckboss: Thanks man, and Wall-E is exactly why i had to go for the lower targeters!

So where are we now?

Metal grating down in the snout:

And working on hatch placements:

Not convinced yet but have some parts coming that will help with the final locations, any ideas welcome though!

And honestly, the low targeters really do look better no?

Cheers all!
