mateus of ultramar: Many thanks brother, always good to hear!

Terminatorinhell: Go for It mate!

Togusa-san: Hi chap, nope they stay as is, handy against low tech and organic weaponry as they detonate incomIng projectiles before they hit the Plate proper, not great against hi tech beam weaponry......

That's how I look at it any way! :D

That's all for now, booze allowing more Saturday!

I present the mini tutorial for my version of the DantheDaemon SAW Bolter

So to start, you need 2 Bolters, Scope of some description, Stormbolter drum mag.

First step, cut off the barrels, bayonet lug, and targeting dooda:

Then trim one of the Bolters as per:

Then you need to stick the new slanted front end to the other Bolter, be sure the grips line up so it looks continuous and to this need to go all of the normal accoutrements found at the business end.

With the Scope gets you this:

Which is great but for that SAW look we need a drum mag:

Thus the final version is

Enjoy!

The heads are temporary and I am not happy with the Scout's Bolter, think I may have to change that to a map or similar!

Thanks all, all thoughts welcome!

:jaw: To steal?.......No Brother...we only take that which is truly ours to use in the Emperors eternal Crusade!!....the Emperor told us to do it!! :jaw: :jaw:

;)

Lovely stuff as always. How did you do the slat armor? Are those bent or cut that way? I just love them. Great narrative taking place on top of the tank. Is the scout glued down or can you remove him for painting. Keep up the good work.

Paladin7221: Sorry brother, no in build pictures but really straight forward, the pintle mount rhino hatch, an assault cannon from the Ravenwing accessory sprue and the melta gun shield from the Crusader, little bit of trimming on the pintle mount and that really is all there is to it, fits together really well!

zxyogi: ah, I see, well then, " FOR THE EMPEROR BROTHERS"

rednekkboss: Thanks brother, the bar armour is made from plastic rod which is bent to suit, and yes, the scout is just tacked on, in fact the entire vehicle is still in bits just held together with Blue tac until it gets warm enough to get the basecoat on!

And now onto the weekends work, first work in progress of the second vehicle for the Sabre display board:

Still very WIP but it's a good start and I hope the thing I want hanging from the nearside winch fits, bit of a gamble as I didn't have a spare one to hand....

FTE

Just so Paladin7221! A "Tusker" variant theatre support vehicle!

Picking some bits up when back in the Fatherland this weekend to work on a crane arm and the thing that will be hanging of that hook so we will have more updates next week, in the meantime some detail of the far side, still needs further detailing and rivets etc.

Cheers all, C&C always welcome

PS: Will also get a trailer unit, still in the mental design stage, not sure if going to be tracked or on wheels, all thoughts on this welcome!

Edited by NightHunters

EmbattledSoul: Exactly! That's basically what I'm going for, with the addition of being a mobile workshop towing a trailer full of Fuel, ammunition supplies etc. Have plans for tow cables attached to the D-rings at the front an maybe a cut down siege shield as a dozer blade but not sure yet!

Togusa-san: That would be one of the internal hatches from the Landraider kit, all monitors on one side and this on the other, bit of trimming, hey presto!

Cheers all!

FTE

zxyogi: Cheers chap!

Zhoolda: Thanks Brother, glad to be of assistance!

Right, so brought an ancient bike back from my travels for the Tusker and lo, it fits, but, space marines bikes are really, and I mean really big!

gallery_42238_5618_101747.jpg

Just jury rigged for the moment but it sure does cover all the detail and maybe a scout bike would be less bulky...

May have to buy one to find out :)

All thoughts on this welcome!
