Also that crazy Death Company marine pummeling the guardsman with his helmet is awesome as well. Count me as subscribed, can't wait to see more. The white (actually looks more like very light gray with white highlights, which works) is superb, and the dark blue 'midnight clad' is also a work of precision. DaemonPrinceDargor Posted April 3, 2011 Author Share Posted April 3, 2011 Right,Night Lord recipe: -Mordian Blue over black undercoat. -2 Heavy washes of Badab Black. -Watered down Mordian Blue highlights, 2 parts water - 1 part MB. -1 part Mordian Blue-1 part White edge highlights. -1 part Mordian Blue-2 parts White fine highlights. Corbulo recipe: -Adeptus Battlegrey over black undercoat. -Astronomican grey,leaving the recesses with the darker colour. -1 part Astronomican grey-1 part White over the previous layer. -Pure White highlights. Both are very quick and easy.The white i use is Vallejo white but any white will work the same. Firepower, i use the DC with my 40k BAs. Since these guys are Scouring era, i like to think that some marines would already have started falling to the Black Rage and will use these models on a 25mm base as objectives. You sir have a sharp eye for diverse bits and appear to be a dab hand at putting them together in a way that says PRE-HERESY BLOOD ANGELS. This is very well done - these guys are only about 20% blood angel bits, if that. Your photography is quite good, but lighting could be better. BTW the custodes are: DA legs, BA thunderhammer arms, BT and BA chest, but the head from what High Elf kit? Its cool to see how well the 2nd edition bolters fits. Haunter! Posted September 15, 2011 Share Posted September 15, 2011 Your painting skills are great, but modeling wise there's nothing screaming "Pre-Heresy" to me. Aquilas on bolters and the Land Speeder, death masks, and Death Company are all post-Heresy things. I'm also not sure about the Grey Knights Terminator legs, the mention of Titan in particular. The models are well done and the painting is, again, great. I just don't see the Pre-Heresy part.
