Wow, what an awesome thread! Resisting the urge to order more FW stuff is getting increasingly hard!

I really like the way you paint battle damage. It's just streak of darker shade of the armour, and a lighter beneath to create the illusion of depth? It works really well, and I'm gonna try that out, so thanks for the tip!

But I want to add some slightly more constructive feedback too, regarding the UM Dread. The paintjob is ace, and I really like the studs on it's right leg. However, the first thing you should do is set the magnets in the arms deeper. They are visible, even straight from the front, and having the arms that far out, on relatively thin mounts give the dread a fragile appearance.

So, you just need the arms to fit closer to the body and it will look much much better.

Also, I have myself tried using that Defiler head for a dread, but it just looked too big. I know it's already painted, but I would reconsider if that head really is the best option.

Keep em coming!

Interesting custodian, DPD - how does he scale up to a regular marine? And also excellent paintjob. The blade is blended well and the overall job is pretty crisp. :ermm:

Wow, whilst making it just plain depressing to look at my own stuff (why can't that good?) your stuff is beautiful, any chance of Salamanders or/and Thousand sons appearing? They would be awesome. The custodian is really nice, perhaps a tad slim, but so awesome looking it does not really matter, how did you make the spear?

Also, where is the power fist and legs on your brilliant Abbadon model from?

I mentioned Space Wolves on the first post of this log a while ago...

Thank you guys. The Grey on the Wolves is very simple and quick:

Adeptus Battlegrey, shaded with 1:1 Scorched Brown and Black, highlighted with Codex Grey and then Fortress Grey.
