I have everything ready and as I start putting on chaos black for my first coat...I see a line that requires me to put everything on hold until it is removed by knife or file. Or worse and I only see the mold line after painting. As for the face and hair, it looks spot on with a WD article from awhile back that I keep going through and hoping to absorb some kind of skill. It was either the one regarding the release of new Lizardmen or IG stuff, I will have to look through it again. Also, looking at your Termie, I think putting that big fist on a banner would do a lot(kind of like in the back of the SM Codex), or use the fist from Pedro's banner in its place. Its the WD with the lizardman new release....GREAT article for faces/stubble and scars...but I look at my scars for Colorado inspiration....and I forgot about Pedis banner and I have one....I'm going to swap the Offical Ped for another I wanna make, and ima base it on the picture of Pedi in the current codex...but 1st up will be the Sicarus Cpt model or my gaming HQ then it'll be Cortez himself...just there's no Captain or special character in the current dex to rep him fully so my Cortez Cpt will be a normal Cpt with a PF (obviously) but it counts as a relic blade so I get to keep his I5 and with Digi weapons....Simple... Sergeant's bionic eye glow is well done, but I think you need to go over the gold casing of the Boltgun again, looks to be a big blank spot between the skull and case/cartage/thing ejector. I went for more dynamic HQ's for a while, but after pointing them out over and over again, (as the rest of the squad was also dynamic,) I went for a more commanding pose. Plus, since the rest of the squad where partially hunched in a running pose, the HQ just looks taller. Just curious, did you keep "Sicarus'" pistol lowered or did you raise, (I can see part of him in the background, and now I MUST know! ;) ) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Olis Posted July 30, 2011 Share Posted July 30, 2011 Don't forget to give Cortez that white streak in his hair! :P For the power fist I'd be inclined to give him an open one, perhaps the BA one? Might I also suggest modelling the fist and wreath motif on his chest (and give him a tabard)?
