Sockwithaticket, thanks buddy. I have to admit I'm not a fan of the fleshy thunder thighs and things on the new Brutes. I prefer my army to have little to no mutation hence my preference for the Ven Dread. It's just a really versatile kit with loads of pretty cool bits.

DeathspectreSgt, I see you're still playing with coloured fonts. I mostly view the B&C on my phone where the default setting is a white background so it took me a bit to find your cry of anguish ;)

I got a bits delivery today but haven't had a lot of time due to one thing or another. I wanted to show a mockup of parts of the bits dump though. I love these pieces as the trim will match pretty closely to the bits I got from Subtle Discord.

Gorehound has shoulders. :)

Thanks a lot guys. I'm in the process of trying to detail the rear of the Gorehound at the moment. Took a quick 5 mins to knock this up. I personally feel it gives The Lord the aggression he sorely needed. Let me know what you think?

As soon as I saw the pics of te new Helbrute I knew I wanted to see how the heads looked as separate bits. Thankfully with some careful chopping I was able to adapt it in the same way I do my other Zerker heads. Plus this should keep OSS happy as he now has his bunny ears back ;)

Guardian31, Thanks buddy.

Dorns_fist, Hes not too far away now. He was distracted by a field of sheep somewhere near the M6? :D

OSS, thanks buddy, I got mine from bitsandkits ;) It pays to sign up for their newsletter as they tell you when they update stock and when they're having sales etc.

Kizzdougs, thanks buddy, I just wanted to show that the Jugger was charging and couldnt do that with a seated pose.

That is one damn scary helmet. Great pose, too - honestly I'm more interested in seeing some paint on Malek, though...

And nice use of Skulldozer bits on the Gorehound's shoulders, the extra bulk makes a huge difference.

Thanks guys.

This updates a little later than I intended but due to starting a new job in the hospital and the endless induction this entails means I've been a little short of time lately. If you remember though I was rattling on about building a Helbrute Alpha for my eventual Murderpack, I've started knocking bits together but I'm not 100% sold on the head or the claw yet. I have another idea for the claw which I'll get to as soon as I can but I'm curious to hear your thoughts on his head. I think what bugs me about it is the other brutes have a faceplate over a load of sensors/wires where as this guy has a fully enclosed head. C+C most welcome. Also note this isn't necessarily his final pose. I've had another notion on that front as well. Haha.

Onto the pics.

I can't help but feel the head needs to look angrier.

I dunno. If I had a metal tube shoved into the side of my skull I'd be looking angry already.

Nice Hellbrute it's cool how the dreadnaught body fits nicely on the lower half of a sentinel. Did it require a lot of cutting to get the body to sit on the legs? I can see the sentinel plate being used under the body.

Edited by Kael24
The sentinel plate didn't require cutting at all. It fits straight under the Dread torso. I added a hatch from the Land Raider as a spacer for a little added height. I'm going to revisit that area though. And after seeing the pics I'm ditching the claw for a more Lightning Claw arrangement.
That's neat I gotta remember that if I get my hands on a sentinel.

Also hope you don't mind but I borrowed your pic for a bit and made a few modifications to help with your dilemma on it being more angry. Hey if you like the idea you are more than welcome to steal it. Ha! lol

i think the head is fine, the thing about a skull is it already has a morbid scary look about it as it is a reminder of what we all are underneath and is a reminder of our demise

  a bit morbid but hopefully you get my drift:laugh.: also as a screaming skull can be scary i find an emotionless face far worse as it could be hiding any number of evils like those scary scary china faced dolls(i know they are watching me:cry: )

nice work sir

Nice concept. :)

A few points: I think it has a bit of "chicken" look to it, probably because you used the sentinel baseplate - I usually cut off the legs from the dreadnought hip, and pin the legs into place - this spreads them wider and allows them to have the legs pointing a bit outward - which reduces the chicken syndrome. Also, I'd make it a bit lower, by positioning the joints closer together. Also - maybe try out the maulerfiend powerfist armour plates, as the lower leg armour? That might give it more bulk on the bottom.

I agree the claw needs work - I like the head, though. :)
