dizzy-xc
That is awesome! I saw the vid... Amazing. BUT no guy in his right mind on that crew will get any work done with that brunette with the pony tail... Amazing how one chick can steal the whole show. cathar the great
Funny I had been wondering how you were doing with this project a few days ago. It looks awesome, of course. But it's not done yet, is it? BUT no guy in his right mind on that crew will get any work done with that brunette with the pony tail... Amazing how one chick can steal the whole show. Thanks a lot. I have another girl painted up. It's a feeble paintjob(Building is my skill, not painting. I'd KILL to find someone who could paint my figures for me), but she's hot, hot, hot. Here's a picture with her in the background. You can also see her slightly out of focus in the background of this shot. I can provide better pics if anyone wants to see closeups. So pleased to see an update for this project - the thing is absolutely amazing!!! Thanks! It's been a real labour of love. I am doing a commission right now for a guy in China for a 1/18 Jedi Starfighter Hyperdrive Ring, but after that, i am going to get started with another Arvus from the moulds i made for this one. The new one will be in a more "authentic" colour scheme(And i am looking into having another lighting circuit with floodlights on the exterior. If anyone knows of a "proper" WH scheme for the Arvus that would look incredible in an 18" Arvus, please feel free to post images in this thread. I'd like to see great ideas for a cool livery. Funny I had been wondering how you were doing with this project a few days ago. It looks awesome, of course. But it's not done yet, is it? Thanks for your kind words. It's not totally done yet. It will still need stencils added for squadron numbers, etc, and a lot of detail painting. The buyer seems to have fallen off the face of the earth, so i could do with finding someone else who wants to buy it. But that will probably never happen! More progress images shortly. Thanks for all the comments. Honda
So glad to see that this project is still going. For your next model, consider the following idea: My other army is a fully air cavalry Elysian force. One of the ideas I've been playing around with is a spin off from the movie "Blackhawk Down", where the UH-60's are led by Hughes 500D Little Birds. That's the real world. In 40K, I've been considering getting or building an Arvus Lighter that is SPECOPS configured to carry a small squad of Elysian veterans or Inquisitorial Storm Troopers. Soooo, a long way around the hill to say, would you consider the possibility of a special operations Arvus, carrying something like a 40K version of a SWAT team? I'm thinking of a two or three color grey camo pattern, soft edges to the colors...or possibly an all black version with small red or grey text on it for night flights. Anyway, just an idea. Whatever you settle with, I know it will look awesome. Cheers, Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/234728-scratchbuilt-arvus-lighter-projectin-a-slightly-larger-scal/page/6/#findComment-3069127 Share on other sites

There are a group of us in the UK who are going to be doing builds of this craft in the same scale for a model show, and we are all going to do different colourschemes. It will be an airshow diorama piece on a table, made to look like every "country" that uses the Arvus has sent one to be displayed. My first thought was to do an Arvus up as Marine One(Or all white with the "Virgin Galactic" logo). But there are undoubtedly loads of ideas to consider. Feel free to post pics of your idea! StrayCatt
Some of those Ma.K figures are oop. If you check HLJ (hobby link Japan) or StarShipModeler (SSM) you may be able to find them.
