This is the painted force so far (5 x DV DW and a Librarian to do).

Over 4000pts depending on which arms they get...

 

The majority of the force has magnetised arms and consists of:

 

Belial

Interrogator Chaplain

Librarian

5 model Command squad

5 model Knights

9 x 5 model Terminator squads

2 x Landraiders (magnetised for Redeemer/Crusader and 1 Ares)

1 x Veteran Dreadnought

I don't know if it's covered elsewhere in the thread but how often do you play?

 

I find this is kind of a plus/minus of my own enthusiasm. I'll play a unit I was painting, or considering painting. It does horribly or fantastic, and this changes my attitude towards painting it. lol

 

I have to follow this thread, because I find painting some Dark Angel units a little... underwhelming but you've done an inspiring job of it. (I still love those vindicator designs.)

 

I guess you don't care for the new flyers? I absolutely love the design, they just under perform for me and as a result sit in a box.

I game about once a month using mainly my Tau, DA get about 1 game in 3 but it has been a 50:50 split on tournaments.

I class myself more as a collector and painter as I find it relaxing and there is a definable and long lasting result to show at the end. I tend to collect models because of the design and how they look (or could look with a bit of conversion) and not how well they function during use. Also the fluff dragged me into the DA at first and is still a great part of the attraction for me. I like playing around with the fluff (see Stormbudgie/LS Storm/dismounted RW) to allow me to have a go at something different and these are also counts-as models for gaming. Sometimes I have to paint a model for a specific game as I do not allow myself the option of using unpainted models, especially at tournaments (it's just not British don't-cha know )

I do have a Nephilump still in its box which I bought when the new codex came out and I must get around to building it at some point (maybe SG has a challenge planned ). It will be getting the magnet treatment too. I like the model but am a little underwhelmed at its in game performance.
