Not Valdor, my guy's still alive in the 41st millenium, but you're getting warmer.

PS: At least I think he is, he's not a Pre-Heresy character, that's for sure.

PS2: Don't edit your answers, guys, post new ones, otherwise it makes it a bit harder to check who first answered right.

Let's recap:

This guy is not a Primarch, although he probably wouldn't change his tone much if he addressed one of the Emperor's sons. Some would say he's full of bullsh*t, to which he'd answer with a shot to the face. But, in the miraculous possibility that he'd explain himself, he'd probably say he's a complicated person, his mind full of twists, turns and dead ends. In reality, though, this guy's just an overly sadist daddies' spoiled brat, and more than willing to ram that fact in the face of other boys.

He's not from the time of Primarchs.

He's a loyalist.

Look at the words I've used carefully, and don't take his description as literal, part of it is just there as a metaphor.

I'm never going to get this as I do not know very many characters asides the really obvious main ones but lets see what I can deduce from this puzzle:

Not a primarch but wouldnt change his tone much to address one -

He's high ranking, chapter master perhaps? Or at least of similarly high rank as the only person above him would be a primarch.

Some would say he's full of bulls*it to which he'd answer with a shot to the face -

Hes a rule maker, sometimes the rules being harsh and unfair or perhaps some kind of psychic, the shot to the face suggestions a member of the inquisition to me.

If he explained himself it would be as a complicated person with a mind full of twists, turns and dead ends -

To me this suggests a psyker of some kind, someone with a powerful mind.

He's an overly sadistic daddies spoilt brat and willing to ram that fact in the face of the other boys -

This is probably the most challenging one for me as I'm not sure about which chapters could contain a rather sadistic person at all, especially one promoted by the emperor or a primarch of the chapter. However 'daddies spoilt brat' does suggest to me that it is a first founding chapter. At a guess the inquisition can be fairly sadistic or a member of the blood angels gene seed for the blood thirsty rages.

Now I know you said not to take what you said literally though I believe the metaphorical part is probably about his mind, but as I have so little knowledge outside of the 40k obviousness I've unfortunately not got a solid answer. Based on what I got out of it I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark with one of the main stream characters and say mephiston. A psychic guy filled with a muderous prowess provided by his primarch in a chapter with a damaged gene seed and is fairly high ranking....I could provide a list of other guesses but I think thats a bit unfair!

Feel free to keep trying, mate, it's not like you're not helping those who enter later by scratching wrong answers. I'll update the clues mid-afternoon, but please, don't set yourself out of the race.

I've posted quizzes late in the nigh, it's all about randomness and things being done in a less-than-serious way.

Edit: Ok, I'll say this, he's not an obvious or that well-known character, and his name is hard to remember, but I'll take rank and allegiance too.

Again, look at the words and expressions I use. I've said he's not in the least a person given to explaining his actions or himself. That would never happen. So why have I described his mind as being full of turns, twists and dead ends? Maybe it's these expressions that matter. What else is full of turns, twists and dead ends?

No, wait, why not a Grey Knight? They're psykers, plus twists sounds like Brother-Captain Stern, or if you call trapped in the warp as a maze, then Lord Draigo, though my first guess is still more on Stern, he's stuck on a twist of fate with tzeentch, and round and round they go :)

Then again, he doesn't seem very sadistic
