Finally...6th edition...aztec style. Hope you like it, mates, I'll start working on Apostle Thirst's request on the 25th - reason being I have some artwork to do for my loved one's birthday.

So tired...

Cheers, all.

Well this is nice to come back too. The white scar marine is great as well.

There's hot, there's Scarlet Johansson, and then there's this guy:

http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2012/257/f/e/mazad_vur__me_by_greyall-d5epal7.jpg

"The sons of Lorgar have long claimed for their speech the properties of fire, they say it sets the spirits of men alight. Look now, brothers, how dark their babbling truly is.

There is good in this, though. Every chance of showing the true voice of fire to those who waste it on pompous metaphors is a blessing. Charge, warriors of Vulkan. Show this filth how well their torches work against a Salamander."

Mazad Vur'Me, The Magmaborne, The Immortal Cinder, Librarian of the Salamanders

This was Mazad Vur'Me's rallying cry to 150 Salamanders on the closing stages of the Dropsite Massacre. One hour later, after Mazad had accounted for the killing of three Word Bearer Chaplains and dozens of enemy Space Marines, Angron, Primarch of the World Eaters, walked through the torrent of fire melting the warriors around him and smashed the Salamander's head with a single punch.

Mazad was perhaps the greatest Pyromancer in the Imperium for millennia, his signature fire-breath becoming legend during the Great Crusade. So great was his admiration of fire, he conjured not only warp flames, like so many other psykers, but each and every chemical component required for combustion. This enabled him to enhance his attack by mounting four small promethium flamethrowers on his helm. Legend persists to this day among the Salamanders that in one ill-going battle, Vur'Me turned the tables by burning a whole enemy platoon to a cinderous vapour.

Second Champy of the Heresy. One of the things I love about that time was how they didn't go for the ugly "all blue" armour for the psykers. I tried to make Vur'Me here as civilian as possible, then.

The next guy is sort of a rematch. You'll like him...if you see him coming.

Hope Mazad gets your love, for now. Cheers, everyone, and thanks in advance for the interest.

PS: Oh, and Inkary did it again. It's Cravasson's turn to feel the glory!

I'll let you guys to the talking on this one...my jaw's still down there.

Aaaaaand all of a sudden I'm frightened of the dark again. As a 30yo father of three.

Somehow I sense some symbiotic synergy surfacing, surely to signify a scintillating slew of superlative superchromatic 'Startes 'strations sometime soon.

Oh I give up. Alliteration sucks anyway.

Admirable alliteration alex :)

Now greyall, while this salamander did indeed raise the temperature of this thread by a great magnitude, nothing you draw will surpass scarlett johansen ;)

Great stuff as always, and its good to see cravasson make a terrifying return :)

WOW, that Night Lord is amazing! Makes me feel my work is inadequate >< lol. Just finished up your most recent Salamander though over on DA. If anyone is interested in seeing it, link is here

Cheers!!

When I wrote this, I meant librarium as a Legion's archive of lore and teachings. I actually forgot the Librarium was connected to the Librarians...which does trouble me a bit...=p

Thanks for the comments, guys =) Next Champion to be started later tonight.

Of course, since the quote comes from an Heresy era marine, Librarians were still banned as per the Edict of Nikea which was still in effect (at least until the Emperor's demise), so couldn't be directed at those, right?

Thats a really good drawing Greyall. The fire axe needs a more axe like shape thou. ( is it conjured magic, or is the blade fully on fire?)

@ Shamblin. Wow that was quick, and supurb color usage.

@ Inkary. Holy smokes that's wickedly awesome. Its almost like he busted the hole in the wall just to get a breather.

Greyall you should feel proud, for you have graced us with all of these awesome drawings. With your following illustrator team you sure do make jaws drop. Next up please find an animator... :)

 simply stunning! Could easily convert that drawing to be a Black Dragon..... nudge, nudge, wink, wink :P

Many many sorries for not returning earlier, it has been a busy week - partially because Champions League is back =)

A boatload of thanks to all of you.

The next guy is close to halfway through, let's see if the weekend brings progress...That I'm drawing this guy is a biiiit out of revenge, actually.

I think I can say I got my revenge on this bastard....

"Death to the False Emperor"

Sevatarion Jago, The Prince of Crows

I'm super happy with this guy, much better than my other depiction of him, Older Sev

Pose is way more fluid, the armour makes a lot more sense without all the unnecessary bling.

Hope you like it, mates. Next I'm drawing a present for a fellow deviant, after that I'll return to the Heresy Champions with a gift for our brother Basswave. I'm in a good mood, I'd say.

Cheers.
