And yours so Grey Brother!! :woot: I like the Thunderwolf too!! Thumbs up!!

In person there is a slight shadow grey look to my army, but I do enjoy the deep blue look they have. Plus, it's my army and I'll paint them how ever I damn well please!! HA-HA!!

I've made some progress with my LR MKIIB but it's still very much a WIP with basecoating still being finished then weathering can begin...

So they looks like that when they are brand new and clean?

No not really, that is just very early stages of the paint process. I've made a little more progress now;

As you can see it's starting to look a little different from the first picture but still quite a bit of work to complete on this but you can now see where I'm going with this as far as finishing and painting is going. I decided to try a few different techniques with this and I've also changed the base colour massively from my last grey/grey wolves army. The baby blue here is a new vallejo based base coat mix to me as I'd previously only used the standard GW mix of shadow grey, space wolves grey, and kommando khaki in a 1:1:1 mix.

Yes, yes i know it's still WIP. I like the icy blue touch of that colour sheme. Well, it was a new tank just from the factory, and now it's a veteran:)

Today I will finish the cloak of my model. But now I've magnetised heads. The helmetless one was spray painted. I want to reshape it a little bit, and I thought that it will be more visible for me where and how deeply I've used a file.

The cloak was made using a few pices of wire, green stuff and white milliput. I need to smodge it a little, and finish the fur on the top of the cape.

Looking good. What colors do you use for your rust?

Looking good. What colors do you use for your rust?

Thanks, I'm happy with how it's coming along so far :tu:

The rust starts with a basecoat of scorched brown with a little bit of rust coloured weathering powder mixed in to give it texture. The next stage is a wash of burnt umber oils and small amounts of various rust coloured weathering powders added while the wash is still wet and then blended in. The exhaust guards were sponge chipped quite heavily with vallejo german grey before starting to add rust effects in a similar manner to above, you can add layers of powders mixed with thinners or add some brown paint if required to add to the effect as you go along.

I, Buliwyf, make an oath before my battle brothers to complete the remaining squads of my 800 point army, including Njal Stormcaller, a pack of Longfangs, and pledge 10 Grey Hunters to this feat, and to return on the leaped day of the second month with my first two league victories!

I, Wulfebane, vow to finish a 6-man Grey Hunter pack by February 29th, 2012.

This is a bit late because I've been debating for a while whether I'd be able to devote enough time to complete. I had assembled/basecoat my pack in prep for this challenge, but I'm currently 200 miles from my models and paints atm (and have been since before this Winter Advance got started) and won't be home to paint for atleast another week. So I wanted to avoid posting if I didn't think I could commit, but with the addition of the LPC, my motivation is stronger than ever. Should have some pics when I get home. Good luck to everyone!

Here is Rune Priest Rhapsody in all his glory!!

I still need to base him, but the weather is far too cold to spray him down, so it will have to wait. I will be putting snow on his base, so the white bits on his feet will be covered.

I just finished priming, base coating and washing the additional five wolf guard models that I added to the Librarium Challenge, so I am ready to start dry brushing highlighting and picking out the details on the remaining models.

More W.I.P. photos soon!!
