It just looks odd to me, but when they have a helmet on it puts a more grim look into a Templar. Since that's not how Templars work, Samuel may just be one bad ass Neophyte with a not so legal loadout, or maybe I could make his fluff is that he's Samuel the Repentant, and he has to earn his way back into the ranks of the initiates. He carries a relic from the first crusade, the banner recovered from Temples on Arsuf. Along with Dyrnwyn, the pair are two of the few surviving artifacts recovered by the first Crusade. Immortalis, during the First Crusade's miraculous victory, stood unbroken against the hordes of Orks who sought the destruction of the holy banner. By the time the arrival of Bastion armed with Dyrnwyn, Immortalis' brothers found him standing resolute, holding aloft the sacred banner over a mountain of corpses. As such, I really, really like the idea of doing the same for my Terminator. I have no lightning claws in my army save for a few hold out models. Going to greenstuff the bottom Aquila off into his tabard and might place a cape on his back. Oh! I also can make a storm bolter powerfist out of some pieces too. So that maybe an idea... Personally as much I like how Power Armor looks, I actually don't like Space Marine troop helmets much, whether "vanilla" or the BT variety. The size of the shield suggests that the model is going to be tough to kill. I am hoping to see a thunder hammer that is equally imposing in your next post. Keep up the good work. Pretty sure he's going to become a Chaplain now, who may not have the most optimal loadout, but will be hard to kill. I've always gone with what looks cooler more than what's the best at min/maxing.
