Camdoran Crusade

Marshal Reinhard

Recommended Posts

With my sternguard i've mixed a veteran box with a chapter upgrade sprue. There's plenty of bling, and lots of crosses.

It's an idea if you like me have lots of leftovers (never used a bolter until few months ago). Works well if you ask me.

Not that is really needed, that one looks awesome as it is

Little WIP of the squad so far. As is typical I am waiting for some bits, like most of the weapons.

I quite enjoy working with a color I'm not used to getting to apply, the green, but i'm wondering if it's detracting a bit from the normal templar color balance. This one fella ended up with quite a few laurels I noticed so has more green then red. Also, that same fellow... does the gold studs feel alright or is it a bit much?

Finally got the two missing leg bits I had been waiting on for forever so I promptly finished the squad:

I do spot a few things that need a bit of touchups, but they'll have to wait. Have a final vow that I aim to finish over the weekend:

Been a while. Been working on some odds an ends to try and get back into the groove. First up I figured I'd try and give my techmarines a more templar feel, since the all mechanicum red that they used to have (picture on the first page of the thread) wasn't quite doing it.
Still a WIP shot but here's how they are now. I think its farily balanced on the red vs black, or should I change the arms to black too? (or just the pauldrons?)gallery_65134_8775_67551.jpg
Then the honour guard here are pretty much also still a WIP, but I think they may be nearing completion. I remember getting the good advice of having individual patterns for the cloaks for each member. Something like the brilliant cloak that Brother Christopher did for his marshal during ETLIII, would be awesome, but not sure I could pull it off.gallery_65134_8775_143723.jpg

Christmas comes early this year

While perhaps not the most Templary of dreads, anyone's who's stuck with my thread for while probably knew this was coming. The other stuff in the background is a LR achilles and a Typhon Siege Tank, allthough the latter isn't for me :<

Liking the Eddy kit quite a bit so far, its full of details everywhere, but I predict it'll be a bit of a challange to make him feel like a Templar, one that I'm more than willing to take.

EDIT: First real WIP shot. The kit pretty much builds itself. Pose isn't finalized, torso isn't glued on, neither is his head, but I think I want the cannons like this.

Being a templar isn't about aesthetics or even equipment-- it's about attitude and a willingness, fervor and zeal to carry a task through to its end-- and smiting every heathenous censored.gif who stands in the way of your holy task that day.

Who gets the typhon? Did you go in on an order with a bud?

A friend of mine who plays Thousands sons, so it'll be pimped out with some heretical TS doors that's in one of those blisters. I think I'll have a hand in painting it. So yes, absolutely, we chipped in to get that sweet fre shipping.

EDIT: More WIP shots. Trying not to overdo the Templar bling, while still adding said bling. Should I add another cross on his torso for a symmetric look or does the asymmetry work?

Got one more cross planned for the missile launcher's left side

EDIT: Might as well make this post usefull and post the first real WIP

This particular Eddy will assume the name of Navarre, which was the original name of my first contemptor, later renamed Kordhel. (The names are basicly those on FW's black templar transfer sheet.

Old Raimer is also here because he's getting a new fist, and to give a frame of reference to Navarre
