i have to say i have been back looking at your thread again loving the landraider ,the teeth idea works so well

you say you use fimo ,any advise on how workable it is shrinkage ,work time, etc would be great

i have a mate who is toying with the idea of a new army and nurgle keeps pulling his strings ,i will direct him to this post and im sure it will make the desicion pretty sharp ;)

thanx for sharing

Thanks a lot guys. :tu:

The Magos is a pretty simple conversion. I used the torso, arms and cape from the chaos lord on manticore, and combined it with a pair of berzerker legs, reposed a bit to get the soaring posture. The backpack is a berzerker backpack with some of the arms from the talos added.

Thanks a lot man. :P

Reg. Fimo; I don't know how much it shrinks - next to nothing basically. You can work it as long as you want - it won't harden until you bake it for 30 minutes at about 150 degrees. The it gets as hard as milliput. Great material for stuff like teeth. I just make a LOT of them, bake 'em, and have them ready for when I feel like converting.

Great sculpt btw - I'm very inspired by Resident Evil too. :)

Since you first posted the strain it's been bugging me who they remind me of. But it dawned on me this morning. It's the wretches from Gears of War. I can just imagine them running normally until within charging distance and then dropping to all fours to cover the distance as fast as they can to spill blood.

Okay, now I'm just getting mad. Between this thread and Raz's, I'm pretty sure I'm going to drop an unhealthy amount of money when the new Chaos dex comes out.

Heh yeah. What's been on my mind lately is: what's going to be the new thing in the codex. That's what I'll most likely buy.

Yup, I started out with an all World Eaters army - every single model converted into action poses. Every SINGLE one. :jaw:

I've got about 1500 points, mostly painted, but unfortunately I've sort of gotten tired of painting red - the colours don't inspire me like they do on my Death Guard. I've got 1 unit of berzerkers to paint and a land raider, but I probably won't do them for a while. I'm in this hobby because I like modelling and painting, and if they don't inspire me, I don't want to do them. I'll probably put some pictures up of the finished models, when I get around to taking some better pics than I've got at the moment.

Here's a few teasers;

Excellent use of some Juggernaut bits. I just ordered a couple of FW Worldeater bits, just enough to do 1 terminator to paint. I really like the Khorne fluff and all, but like you said, I don't think my inspiration would last as long as with my Nurgle worshipers.

I've got 3500 points worth of mostly unpainted WE that are 'shelved' due to lack of interest in painting red, and I don't particularly like the skipping poses.

Now that Mr 'Rasmus has redefined how cool they can be, I think I might have to 'bin' instead of 'shelve' them and hang my head in shame. :P

:D
