@Snorri: I'm sad to hear that.. It seems to me that the delivery is late by any standards... It may warrant a complaint to the shop you're buying from. All I have to say is that I share your frustration! Good news is, the Badge of Shame is only until year end! :)

I already sent a short note about the state of my delivery - and it seems that on top of the whole issue an e-mail got lost in the warp! They only order once a week(mondays) from GW and last time the order wasn't complete so I have to wait another week, actually.

I will do everything I can to keep the Badge of Shame from my signature! As a proud son of Sanguinius I'd work two days without sleep in order to present my vow rather than fail it!

@ Snorri. That's bad news. I too have models waiting. I didn't dare vow them. I'm guessing wildly, but did you also order a terminator librarian? :(

No, just the two Assault squads. I have that Terminator Librarian already painted up on my shelf, maybe he'll see some action again. It's just very annoying because I made a comment along with my order that I need the two squads for August 2nd...still messed it up. Damn. Next time, Imma better fly over to sunny England and pick them up myself.

Snorri

Are you claiming points just for the upgrade or are you claiming points for three Baals with only two chassis? What I'm saying is that you cannot claim points for alternate load-outs - you have to choose a configuration and vow for it.

Please clarify (as it happens I'm on holidays and do not have access to my codex).

Sorry for the confusion. My vow is as follows:

• Baal Predator w/ Flamestorm Cannon, Heavy Flamer Sponsons, Storm Bolter -150 pts.

• Baal Predator w/ Twin-linked Assault Cannon, Heavy Bolter Sponsons, Dozer Blade -145 pts.

• Death Company Dreadnought w/ Heavy Flamer -135 pts.

• Lascannon, Twin-linked Plasmagun Turret -35 pts.

Total: 465 pts.

Also, going to up the ante and add to my vow:

“I, The Harrower, answer the challenge of the Unforgiven and vow to complete Lemartes, Guardian of the Lost from Codex: Blood Angels of total value 150 points on or before August 15. Success will bring eternal glory to our Lord Sanguinius and the Blood Angels. Failure will doom me to bear the sign of damnation until the year-end.”

Great Harrower - good luck with your new vow! About time the Blood Angels sprang into action! :)

Just a small point that I still don't get: the turret! :P If it is supposed to serve as an alternative turret to your preds you cannot claim it unless you have another chassis too (i.e. a complete pred)... Also remember that every unit you claim must be a legal standalone entry from the BA codex. As I do not have the Codex handy, can you help me here?

Also remember that fortifications and allies are not ETL legal due to their late introduction in the life of the ETL and the fact that they could alter the character of the event which is predominantly to pit Codex vs. Codex. I'm saying that just in case the Turret is supposed to be some form of fortification that I'm not familiar with...

If it has to be a stand alone entry, then I guess it doesn't count. I asked if I could just do the turret by itself quite some time ago as I needed one for my Razorbacks that are already painted. See below:

I already did my vow, but I was wondering if I made a Las/Plas Turret for my Razorback if I would net us an additional 35 points? Have to make it anyway, but I figure any little bit will help.

I will. I'll update the table in the first post for your extra 35 points and you update your vow.

BUT REMEMBER: pictures or it didn't happen!!! :)

Ok it was a misunderstanding from my part, so to be fair to you the 35 pts do count. My bad. I will update the table with your full points. Please note though that as a general rule alternative load-outs are not earning any points. :(

Brothers! Rejoice, as 40 new battle brothers have joined our Sons of Sanguinius. Presenting the newly formed, repainted, 7th and 8th Assault squads of 2nd Company and 7th of the 3rd Company's Assault Squad and 10 Revered Veterans in Tactical Dreadnought Armor of the Angels of the Grail.

Yeah, pics are bad, explained here

Hahahahaaaaa. So many points. I've painted 80 dudes. I've built an army from worse than scratch, they all had to be stripped. I'm going to go into a coma now.

+++VOW COMPLETE+++

So, I think Taranis has the most points pledged, do I have the most models done? You should include a statistical (or whomever is in charge) for who did the most X for each forum. Cause While I think it's obvious who will win the challenge this next week, B&C should recognize some individuals who were especially awesome.

OK - I updated the table!

Regarding your queries on stats stay tuned for the final report. There will be recording of points and number of completed vows and some time series but unfortunately there will be no model count... However Ill be sure to mention your achievement!

Congrats Barduck! A nice completion there - the white robes on red armour is a striking combo - not to mention the weathering on the dozer blade!!! Well done, the BAs could sure use your support!

Table updated!

Way to go, Barduck. Looking great. I've been eying those angels of the cloth myself. I think one day I'll use such models for my new priests.

You and your painting brings honour to both you and our chapter! And, not the least, points to restore some of our waning painting reputation.

Well done, friend.

My dad just organised a sudden father/son skiing trip and I realised at the last minute I haven't updated the images for the painting challenge! These are the worst pictures of all time and I don't have time to put them on the board, but they should be in my gallery in the "We are legion" folder thing if you could please check it there! So sorry for the unorganisation but I couldn't bear to wear the banner of shame :P hope it all comes through!

GOOD LUCK BROTHERS!

@ Axira: you know you are one of those that's can't fail now, don't you? :D

@ Biaz: seen your pics - everything looks fine but I'd love to see better focused ones after the ETL is over. I just have a thing with Angels Sanguine. :P Happy skiing mate - table updated!

I just noticed something...I pledged my termies...totally forgot about them... and 3 days to go...1 squad a day then :P'

You sure is a busy man. :D

You know you can't fail after all your previous painted models. I'm not worried though. You are the right Angel for the job. :D

Just keep a sharp eye on the clock.

The deadline is dead important! :P

@Biaz. Congratulations on both the vow and skiing. B)

Cheers! I'm having a bit of a color issue on the Honour guard...

In the Codex: Blood Angels I can find both all gold and red with golden helmets honour guard! So I have yet to deciede what sheme to use...

Red armour and golden helmets are the way to go for normal honour guard. the ones with the gold armour were on the cover of the pdf codex and probably Dante's dedicated honour guard...all gold looks better on the Sanguinary Guard in my eyes.

True! But IMO the Red Armor with Golden Helms are more Veteran style! The Honour Guard is more a symbol on the battlefield instead of a fast attack elite-ish troop!

But I'll try both shemes out on some clip on marines and go with the one I like the most!

Very easy :)

Our veterans have yellow helmets, since we were not meant to have tactical veterans. ;) In my eyes, it's the best to keep with the old ways and paint your veterans' helmets yellow, honour guards' gold and Sanguinary Guard completely gold.

In the end, it's your choice. Happy painting!

Also, talking about helmet colors, what color is the biker helm? Is it Yellow as a assult marine, red as a tactical or another color completley?
