WLK's E Tenebrae Lux Vow Paint Blog and ETL Part 5 Vow

Hey all,

After saying this “I Wolf Lord Kieran, the Talon of Fenris, answer the challenge of the Unforgiven and vow to complete Njal Stormcaller in TDA, Ragnar Blackmane, 2 packs of 10 Grey Hunters with double plasma guns, MotW, Wolf Standard and Power Fist, a Wolf Scout pack of 5 with 1 plasma pistol, 1 power weapon and melta gun, a Land Raider Redeemer, a Land Raider Godhammer, 2 Venerable Dreadnoughts, 1 with Assault Cannon, 1 with Lascannon, from Codex: Space Wolves of total value 2025 pts on or before August 15. Success will bring eternal glory to the Fang and failure will doom me to bear the sign of damnation until the year-end”, i figured the easiest way of achieving my vow is to break them up in painting waves...so, here is Wave 1!

Wave 1 will consist of Njal, Lascannon Ven Dread, Ragnar, and the Scout pack. Also, i will be working on the bases along side, so i can finish them at the same time. Here are the initial pics of the models primed.

I've already begun painting them, just taking a break and decided to get these uploaded. So i should be able to post them with paint pretty soon.

EDIT: I've decided, to ease this along, to skip the keeping track of the painted items in "waves" and simply made a list (below) of my entire vow, and i'll come back and edit out what I've done when i complete it. (seems easier for me and a quick reminder of what i need to be working on) Items in Italics are already completed, and posted somewhere in this topic. now, the list of Awesomeness!

Sadly, i have the free-handing skills of a retarded angry bull in a fine china store, so i dont see anything awesome or epic hanging from that standard. Not sure what i am going to do with it yet, just felt it looked "right" when i brainstormed it.

No, not yet. i am still undecided on what to do on the banner, but am about to throw on a movie and start painting. I am torn between pathfinder, 300 or 13th warrior.

Awesome, because I'll have my lot done by June 15, just enough time to add more to my vow!

 

I started with this group because it was a fair number of points with a relatively low model count. my grey paint is running low but i plan on making a trip to the LGS (an hour away) to pick up more.

Lookin good. I lie the bases as well. I keep meaning to get a bunch more of mine made and send them to you. But see their is no need! I still have not got any new work done on my wolf scouts. I may have a few of the old one around here some where... Need any more?
