I think the white stands out very nicely. The stronger contrast is better, IMHO.

At the moment I'm planning on shamelessly stealing your red colour. I was thinking of white chapter symbols and black robes. Those three colours make for a very strong combination.

What about bone or going mid way with the yellow to brighten it up? It looks like it is a bit too dark and blends with the red rather than popping. The white seems too stark to me next to a blended red

*Yoda voice* Yes, to Grad Master Belial you listen. On the shoulder pads use the bone color.

Looked great on your test helmet it did. Hurts my eyes the white does. :D

Very, very, very nice bikers ;)

Loving the red - it has really grown on me and the feathers are great too.

+1 for a close up on the robe.

The only things that spoil it for me is the join between the two halves of the model over the front tyre and mudguard - (is it too late to run a little liquid green stuff in the crack?)

and it looks like your drill slipped when you where drilling out the Sgt's bolter barrel :P

Crappy GW model design I know (and I have 9 of these to try to fix up for later vows so I will prob. be in the same situation with the gap) :P

What is your plan for the bases?

Thank you :P

I think having a Red DA Successor chapter was a risk but it has paid off.

For these 3 yeah I learned a few things, inc the Bolters, I did not glue them together till I painted them, in hindsight I should have glued them together first well at least the sides.

My advice just glue the 2 sides together first then GS it thats what I have learnt.

What is your plan for the bases?

I am planning on buying a stack of Dragonforge bases, Jeff at Dragonforge is planning on updating his Concrete Rubble line which I am waiting for but I am considering the Lost Temple sets too.

http://dragonforge.com/Painting%20service/...rete_rubble.htm The ones I want.

I love the way your bikes have come out. Colours work very well together and the execution is great.

But for the love of the God-Emperor please fill gaps before painting next time! The gaps really detract from otherwise fantastic models.

Its the mistake I made by not assembling them before painting.

November Vow complete.

I just want to say that your models look amazing! I really like the red colour scheme, and by the looks of this last batch of tactical marines, you chose the yellow chapter symbol? I definitely think that's the right choice, over the white one :)

The green bolter casings look surprisingly good, I think it's the darkness of the green that saves an otherwise rather conflicting choice of colours :)

Looking forward to seeing whatever you paint next!

Crisp and clean, Arkley. Great models. I spotted some decals on your tacs. Where did you get that little arabic numbers from? Both of my tacs have number 2 and 3 on their shoulderpads, so It would be nice for DV squad to have number 1.
