The November Warriors (now with a Knight Titan!)

NovemberIX

Recommended Posts

I'm actually not sure he even sells the shields anymore. I remember stumbling upon the shields on eBay, the. Finding out he was a member of the forum. I've checked back once in a while to see if he's put more back up, or if there was anything new.

As for the pictures I got the e-mail this morning about how I've exceeded my bandwidth, I may have to cut down on a number of pictures I've got posted in a few threads... Or get another pic host.

Honestly, the only reason why I didn't go that route is that I usually do most of my posting and pictures from my iPad, which unfortunately the B&C uploaded doesn't work with. I will say I'm probably gonna go the multiple host route :P

Now that ETL III is over I do need to get back to some back burner projects, but before that, the latest full army picture!

Apologies for low resolution and the rather busy fine rug it's all set up on, this is the only room here I can take over long enough to set up in :)

It has been a while since I've updated here, in that time I've had a few games, and played a lot of Apoc. So shouts to Team Come and Take It, they've been the reason why I've had to get anything done, and thanks to them I've gotten a few things quite done!

The top of the carapace of Temporia Junah. Funny story the hatch was originally (and wrongly) flipped in color, because I painted the hatch separate when I went to glue it in I realized my folly, I think i spent a day or two trying to convince myself that it was ok, and would look right when the hatch was opened. I did not succeed in that, and with judicious use of a fine file and an exacto knife I removed the offending layers of paint (yes, it was probably easier to strip and repaint...)

My favorite part of this model, the scripting was done with a needle, the vertical line is supposed to represent a timeline, it's a small element I use with a few other models.

Here she is as a mostly completed model, since then she's undergone additional detailing which will be covered in upcoming posts.

The color scheme is pretty much a direct rip of my tac marines with references to the various helmet designs my veterans have.

I ended up finding a great deal on ebay on a pair of tempests, so I figured running a full squadron of them would be fun and look pretty cool.

I never liked the pitot tube extensions on the regular speeders, much less the pair that hang off the wingtips of the tempest, so they we're dispensed with.

this was actually the first tempest I had painted all those many moons ago with a new lick of detailing,

A small side project, Chaplain Karlean, still working on him a bit, his skull on a chain is missing, along with his completed base.

John Woo Marines, they've come about because the Fire Hawks chapter tactics that I've been using for our Badab campaign lets me bring in 5pt hand flamers to anyone with access to ranged weapons. The only squad that could take both grav and flamers and use them, Command squad. I'm really thankful the new codex has the command squad as an elite choice now, so I can run these guys plus my regular fluff squad with banners, champs and apothecaries.

These guys ended up becoming my vangard vets because they at least could take a storm shield to defend themselves a bit. My favorite bit is the Sgt's storm shield which was taken from a Tartaros weapon set. Like the squad above, and everything show, it's all still a work in progress!

That army shot is glorious my friend.

Thank you! I now have to take an updated shot with all the new squads in place, so keep an eye out ;)

Wow fantastic amount of painted marines, I love tht army shot! how many marines do you have finished?

Thanks! I think I'm at 217 not counting bodies on vehicles, for those interested it breaks down to 110 PA , 58 TDA, and 49 JP (jump pack) marines. Vehicles add another 12, 2 tank commanders, 1 SM bike, and 3 jetbikes, 4 pilots, 2 RIO's (yes my Storm Ravens eschew the servitor for a marine gunner :D) In total I have 23 HQ's (5 techmarines, 3 PA Caps, 4 TDA caps, 1 JP cap, Chappies and Libbys have 2PA, 2TDA, 1JP each.

Wow, that is an impressive number of marines! I bet you're really excited now that that you can field 'em all as a full company for reals! biggrin.png

I am very excited with this new codex, I've been prepped for squadrons for a while it seems, and the Fire Hawks CT lets me do some fast hard damage. The only thing I'm really missing at this point are dedicated Devistators, but I do have some bodies being prepped, and the new kits are looking mighty good about now.

The Knight is Rock'n .

Thank ya sir! I've really enjoyed painting the model and have some ideas to implement in the future.
