Minor tweaks to the above list saw the Librarian acquire Psychic Mastery to ensure his spells go off (so I start with 3 CP) and I changed the combi-grav on the Sternguard to a combi-melta as I found it... Ended up playing Data Scry-salvage against the Guard opponent from above with a different list: Lord Solar 2x Chemdogs 1x Scion Command (and friends) 1x Scions 1x LRBT 1x LR Executioner 2x Infantry/Cadians 1x Dorn 1x Enginseer It was a laid back game with a lot of trading of units on my part. I could barely score any Primaries despite the sticky objectives as I couldn't push for board control (which they were aiming for by taking Engage on All Fronts), fortunately, this meant I didn't give up many points for By Lasgun or Bayonet (they also took No Prisoners). Seeing the movement, I went for Behind Enemy Lines instead of RA which paid off (15), but I blundered taking Oath (8) as I couldn't contest the centre and work elsewhere, and Bring It Down I attempted, but two tanks remained at the end of the game (7). Basically, I tried to be cagey at the start which seemed ok but I realised quite quickly that I had to commit to do anything of note. The Termite arrived and got it's charge off putting 34 damage into the Dorn (clearly it found the weak spot underneath) but that rudely tank shrugged off melta rounds... Sternguard didn't do too much either and Lord Solar is decent in a Dante kinda way. Got through my characters, anyway. Final score was BA - 54:48 - IG. Will likely leave the list as it is for a little while, but need to work out how to use it on six objective boards. The only change was to swap a plasma gun for a plasma cannon, with everything else remaining the same. Ended up against another Guard force: Creed Command Squad & Nork Engineer 2x10 Cadians 2 Commissars Tank Commander Two LRBT LRExe Ratlings Valkyrie Mission was the The Scouring and I went first. They attempted BEL, Assassinate, and Inflexible Command. I went for Oath, BEL, and dithered between Codex and Bring It Down before settling on the latter. With little to see bar one squad (which I took out), everything moved into position to gain points before eating battle cannon fire in return. Termite and Sternguard arrived to eat some tanks but I continued to take heavy losses throughout the game but managed to keep them penned back. At the end of the game I had a single Sternguard model remaining, however, I had amassed 81 points from a maxed Primary, BEL (14), Oath (10) and BID (4) with two of their vehicles left on two wounds... They score 61 points having got 10 for Assassinate, 15 for IC, and 0 for BEL (and a low primary too). Psychic Fortress is useless against battle cannon fire, but that's the game. If there's still a Legends entry for a Priest/Apothecary on bike next edition, maybe I'll get around to creating one for the next iteration on this list.
