What colours have you used for the highlights.

JJD, colors are pretty basic:

 

1. Warpstone Glow

2. Moot Green

3. Final dots and fine lines -- Gauss Blaster Green

Interesting it must be that final highlight that's making the difference then.

JJD, also one more thing. I always revisit some spots with black wash, to create extra contrast, that could also be the case.

Anyway, another dude is done, only sergeant to go.

I think my main problem is that warpstone has poor coverage so I end up overdoing the moot to make up for it. i am defiantly going to try the extra highlight though.

My warpstone is pretty thick line as you can see.

Thanks. I'm always looking for ideas and ways to improve. Even though I've been painting for a few years now I haven't actually painted that much. Mostly due tto never having enough time. There is always something else.

Was it in any way difficult to get that beakie helm to work with the raised gorget piece?

 Bryan Blaire, as a matter of fact, it was effortless, I just dry-fitted beakie and it was spot-on. Funny thing -- it fits absolutely ideally in the center crevice of gorget, but I thought it would look funny, as it's quite impossible to move your head like this :)

First intercessor squad is ready. Still cannot choose which squad number to use for them. Still haven't decided if I want to include them in the Core 10 squads of the 3rd Company. I guess I'll wait for the new codex.

I really hate the concept of Primaris, but the minis are great and you have made them look fantastic :tu:

 

The RB is wickedly filthy too, just make sure the techmarines do a great job of fixing it up after the deployment. Don't want any Nurgle creeping in.

Interrogator Stobz, fun fact -- it was indeed a nurgle rhino before, took me hours to do a proper cleanup with all the icons, stupid spikes and dirt glued with plastic glue and general hideous paintjob it had, the only good thing about it was that I got it for almost free. Never again, i better just buy a new one.

Finished two sergeants to fit into roster for upcoming tournament. Will hopefully be used in future as part of veteran squad or as lieutenants when we'll get regular ones.

 

Just a quick snapshot, will do better photos tomorrow.

Just as promised better photos of sergeants/lieutenants:

 

 

Slightly adjusted my roster, so I will be able to fit another combat squad with razorback. I haven't decided yet what to paint next, probably will make a top plate to fit razorback assault cannon for rogue trader whirlwind. Still need to paint single heavy weapon guy, a primaris lieutenant and finally after so many years collecting Dark Angels I will paint Azrael. If I will have time, I got another corrupted khorne rhino I got from the same guy. Luckily I have FW Deimos kit, so I will be changing side plates and front plate tainted by chaosy ornaments.

Working on Azrael for the upcoming tournament. Plan is to finish him with stand-in backpack and no watcher, just to make sure I'll get the other things finished.

Some more progress on Azrael. Basically what is left is a hand with Lion's Wrath and a stand-in backpack.
