So will I when I eventually get found to them. They where originally for my WHF Empire force but will now be repurposed for The Emperor.

 

They may be a little too ornate (they look like ancient ravenwing ;) )

These look really nice!

One thing is bugging me... the sergeants head looks squished on the photo... 

 

But, all in all, the colors really work well with each other on these models. Some of them look really realistic.

The sgts head has been mentioned on another forum. It is a little narrower than normal and I intend to replace the head of the Sgt of the next squad I do, whenever that is ;)

Well it makes no difference in the overall appearance. I wouldn't dare to mock that sergeant anyhow if I met him face to face...

Reading the Chocochip Rats name always makes me hungry. Maybe I'm part Ogryn. But, really, those Kasrkin are really great. The pilot light on the flamer is just right.

So I will be starting on Commissar Olga Kurganova, Heroine of the Commissariat next week along with an unnamed Guardsman from the 711th CCAB but in true Commissariat style I will not be doing 1 Guardsman but will be going to go for a full squad so he does not feel too lonely after all the chocochip is just as hard to do 1 as 10 ;)

I am planning on painting her in my standard black/dark red commissar colour scheme with a little bit of gold here and there but really quite sombre and unadorned.

I plan to take no longer than 2 weeks to do all 11 models and I may just start to prep the last Kasrkin squad or a couple of Bullgryns ready for the week after as I seem to be in a chocochip mood ;)

It will be a similar look as the scion/cadia vets but with the Kasrkin camo armour.

 

Work has just started on Olga too. Started shading the red bits. Think I will go with NKVD style trimming on her jacket in either blue or green.

On the topic of colours (now that I know what is going on), why not go green? It signified the Army branch during the Soviet Era, if my brain isn't wrong.
