Hi all,

My first post here at B&C so be nice!

Here is my version of the Death Guard marine from the cover of Flight of the Eisenstein, whom I believe is Solun Descus.

This is one of my fave HH covers, and i really enjoyed creating it so im thinking of starting a little project where I model at least one marine from the cover of every HH book. What are your fave Images / Marines? Where should i go next?

Glad you like it guys, any feed back is always appreciated! thanks.gif

Well, have had a bit of time off today and wanted to start another model, Legion seemed as good a place as any to start. So... meet WIP Alpharius

I am aware that there is some work to do, need to add a backpack, some studs on the armour and some battle damage. and then a paint job, never done purple or Alpha Legion before so looking forward to that challenge!

the death guard looks good :tu:

but something looks not right with alpharius. i can't quite put my finger on it, but his legs look to short for his quite massive torso.

also his head looks like it's not centered on the torso, but that might just be the camera angle.

Looking back, i think you are right, some is just camera angle but they are third party legs and torso, and i think the torso is actually far to small. A proper GW or FW MK IV torso to apply my GS too will help a lot.I have also repositiond the legs, so some tweaking may be required. Ill try again over the next few days and post up my progress.

Thanks againfor the Feedback!

Alpharius Mk2, Much happier this time! Still not quite happy with the legs, they were a conversion i did a VERY long time ago, may yet change them but need to get a new box of Tacs to do so.

Lots of other bits and peices can be done with paint.

Let me know what you think...
