[A painting chaos]

Hi gals and guys!

 

After three years working on and playing with (Dark) Eldar I came to the conclusion that I needed some fresh air and so I decided to start a new army! And after being a "good guy" for soo long (well, not that Dark Eldar are that "good") I decided to switch to the Dark Size and what better choice than a Khorne army? He ate Slaanesh too!

 

 

This past week I worked on the first draw of my army list and on the first models of the army, a Chaos Lord in Terminator armour and his Terminators buddies. I also but toghether what will became the Aspiring Champion of a Raptors unit. Most of the models are at the dry-fitting stage: this way I can test things without spending too much time cleaning and gluing the models. Please note that some of the models have a different weapons load out in the army list cause I'm changing it with the feedback I get

I could see filling in his chest piece and then painting is as the World Eaters legion symbol.

Damn, that FW head on the warp talon body looks great. These guys really look like blood-crazed berzerkers, you're capturing the Khornate feel really well.

 

My only complain is the mould lines - you're going to remove those, right?

Yup, I'm going to clean all those nasty mold lines. I cleaned a Termy last night, it was a pain lol

 

I also exchanged a combi-bolter and the Champion power fist with the combi-bolter (the one with the skull on top) and chain fist from the Lord sprue cause they look more cool :D

 

I'm also thinking to use the Warp Talons feet (with the long talons) instead of the Raptors standard ones (short talons). And I'm not sure a the moment if I should build a unit and paint it or build the whole army and paint it at the end. I want to play with this new army ASAP so building it first seems the right way to go but mixing building and painting could keep things from getting boring. What do you guys think?
