“Up then, fair phoenix bride, frustrate the sun;
Thyself from thine affection
Takest warmth enough, and from thine eye
All lesser birds will take their jollity.
Up, up, fair bride, and call
Thy stars from out their several boxes, take
Thy rubies, pearls, and diamonds forth, and make
Thyself a constellation of them all;
And by their blazing signify
That a great princess falls, but doth not die.
Be thou a new star, that to us portends
Ends of much wonder; and be thou those ends.”

John Donne

Cheers guys

I've noted in my design notes (found on my blogsite) that I imagined Fulgrim to be slender of frame because he is not one of the mass produced specimens that the Astrates are. In comparison (even to his brother primarchs) Fulgrim makes other warriors look quite gaudy and unrefined. He is a fencer not a butcher. An artist, not a ham fisted killer.

He's an unusual Primarch; of course I was going to create an unusual model. I had no interest in creating another he-man in power armour.

Hope this helps.

Myles

Like the rest, I think you have done an excellent paint job! :tu:

The miniature is indeed a peculiar choice. I don't mind the "Djinn" look (adds a bit of decadence), but I have some reservations on the pose... too static. Suffice to say the work on the cape is stunning!
