Hellblasters complete!

Really happy with how they turned out. Looking forward to one day using them!

As a bonus, here's something I like to call the "Line 'em up n' light 'em up." shot:

Now that the ETL is over and I have a shiny new unit complete, I've gone back to finish the model that was stalled by my Vow.

So this is my second bike model ever, and while Captain Huoka was my vision of what a tricked-out ride looks like, this is mostly a look at what the baseline bike model should be; which is to say a non-Veteran biker with an unadorned bike.

Would love to hear some comments (though I appreciate that this is a fairly boring model once you get past it being a Legion Outrider chassis with the plastic bike).

Thanks in advance!

I really like the clean metallic scheme you've got going here. And I don't think the biker is boring! The normal line marines do all the fighting & dying, they deserve their time in front of the camera too :) The little touches of gold on the hellblaster sarge really make him stand out.

Looks good. What will you do to make your Sergeant stand out? A coloured stripe on the front mudguard?

This is definitely a question I've been pondering myself. To be honest, I'm not sure a biker Sergeant would need much more than what my other Sergeants already get: gold pauldron trim, a gold rank bar, and the Crux Terminatus displayed somewhere.

Thanks heaps!

Whoa! Six whole months since I last updated?!

Well, Anthem is... not as good a game as I wanted it to be. So I've been on a painting binge recently!

Not only have I finished the biker from my last post, I've completed another one as well (though it's almost a carbon copy of the earlier plasma gunner bike).

I've also started work on a new model, which is going to be the first model of my Kill Team; a Combat specialist Intercessor Sergeant with a power sword.

Sorry about the long space between updates! (not that I'm expecting anyone to truly be waiting for them! :biggrin.: )

The new bikers are looking good. The silver is, as always, really crisp and clean.

But is it good enough to sell the copies EA wants to not kill BioWare? Probably not -sigh-

Thanks mate!

Yeah, I feel like the game really needed another year in the oven maybe. As well as all the feedback being given seeming to be really obvious to anyone who's played a looter shooter before.

Anyway, hobby-related words: I picked up Shadowspear today, as well as Zandri Dust spray, technical paints and texture paints. It will be my first time using the latter two, and my first time using a spray for a basecoat rather than purely as primer.

Also, I'm planning to use the Phobos Lieutenant as my Kill Team's Reiver Sergeant. Which will be started once this Combat-cessor Sergeant is done!

I've spent the past few nights working on the Combat-Cessor, trying out a new technique (for me) for power weapons to represent that these versions they are different technology from what is present on non-Primaris. It's been a lot of work, and the learning curve wasn't kind (I'm no good at waiting for layers to dry) so I've had to start from scratch a few times.

Very pleased with the result, but I may have jumped up to white a little too quickly.

Thoughts?

Silver armor with Gold trim looks great. I love how the PS came out too and the pose is spot on.

Thanks mate! I really like the Sigismund model, but I wanted to push the Intercessor and Hellblaster kits a little more than I had so far, hence this fellow!

The blade is really well done, the gold works nicely with the silver too.

The helmet is a good choice too, quite regal.

Thanks. The sword took three nights to paint! :huh.:

In any case, this next model may be the fastest I've ever taken a model from 'still on sprue' to complete (4 days total)!

That's four members for my first bike squad done.

I'm liking the Combat-cessor, very nice pose and paint job.

The last picture is intriguing. Storm Raven turret and Dreadnought parts: some sort of walker conversion?

Thanks Chap!

That last photo is an accidental mislead! :blush.: There is indeed a conversion involving a Stormraven and a dreadnought, but it only links them (literally). I'm working on both units at the same time. Or trying to, at least.
