Hail to the Ruined King, my brothers and sisters. It has been some time since my last update, hasn't it. Well, I'm happy to say that my finals are now over and I am free to work on my commissions as well as my army in full force, so you can expect more updates and on a much grander scale (it is my hope atleast. So keep your eyes peeled!

 

Now, let's move on to the new stuff we have, yes?

 

First, we begin with the first among Anointed (one of the few titles amongst the legion that still holds sway in the Chapter, though for a different reason), Champion Kau' ran, the Psalm of Rage. Kau' ran is an ancient and grizzled veteran of the Legion who first saw his roots in the Quillborn Chapter, leading the charge as veteran sergeant of Cataphractii Terminators through fierce Boarding actions and cutting apart all who stood between him and the chapter. Kau' ran was a solider first, and a bearer of the Word second, always finding favor in Chapter Master Allant as opposed to his own Chapter. During the Bleeding of Ultramar, Kau' ran fell into a pitiless rage aboard the Navy vessel 'The Mauchiarii', which had just recently taken up survivors from a dying world. He slaughtered his way through refugees in a carnal delight that was not his own, howling to the name of an Angry God up a Throne of Brass. When the blood rage subsided, he found his ashen grey warplate stained crimson like those of his kin... Those of his chapter fell to their knees in silent chant around him, claiming his berserker state to be of divine power... He was blessed by the Pantheon, and in this they named him the Psalm of Rage, the Red Wind.

 

Yet Kau' ran felt no pride in this. He despised the thought of having no control over his own body and staining in honour in a mindless butchery of innocents. It would forever haunt him. When the even known as the Schism of the Throne came to pass, Kau' ran fell into allegiance with Allant and knelt before him to be Annointed, first among his kind. In time, Allant would bestow upon the Terminator Champion a gift he said would help guide the plagued warrior. He was bestowed a Kai Gun, one of the last few artifacts of a now destroyed forge world consumed by daemons. In this hate-fuelled weapon, Kau' ran could vent forth the cursed rage and send for it in controlled bursts so he may never again fall to the passion of a barbarian God.

So, as you can tell, the model is far from done. He needs a good clean up, some green stuff work (particularly on the legs) and some extra bitz to bring him all together but I just wanted to show you guys the basic work for him. I'm not sure why but there's something in his simplicity that I love. Just my thoughts.

 

 

Next up, we have the other half of those wondrous Khorne Berzerker helms and what I decided to do with them. I have Bassara, so I need Berzerkers to charge with him headlong into the frey and howl the name of a God they never loved in hopes for an honourable death to stop the pain in their bleeding skulls.Once again, they all require clean up before they go through any sort of painting phase. A little story will be coming soon for these folks, but for now I will leave you with just models and a simple phrase.

Very nice looking, brutal and menacing.

I just feel the champ should have the bunnyears like the rest of his squad. otherwise he just looks like one of the raptors put on the wrong backpack.

It's a little hard to make out at first but if you take a closer look you'll see the reason the Champion doesn't have the Khornate bunny ears is because his head is bare, he's only wearing the rebreather/respirator part of the helmet.

Vazzy- You flatter me man... Really. I dont think is that impressive :blush:

 

Wyrm- Ya, Sanguiniusreborn sort of hit that nail on the head. Its a bare head of sorts (the back part of the head is covers but not the face above the box grill) its funny because the head actually does come with the warrior crest... But I honestly thought it just looked stupid on the bare head, so I removed It.

Really enjoying reading your fluff brother that terminator champion will look ace once done and I agree I like his simplicity where is his weapon arm from I've never seen it before.

 

I think the berserkers look good my favourite for pose has to be the champion.

Sure man, his arm comes from the lovely little metal Chaos Terminator Lord that was only in production for a short amount of time before the 4th edition chaos codex came out. His kit came with a power sword, Combi-melta, power claw, and that little beauty. Originally it was supposed to be a Kai-gun, as far as we've been told, but seeing as the 4th edition codex came out soon after, it didnt really have a name or purpose. So I'll be using it as a combi-plasma and simply say in fluff terms its a Kai-gun. A few of you may also notice the body is familiar with another certain model that I've posted up before, and I do sorely look forward to painting him. YOUR MEMORY SHALL LIVE ON!

The rest of the song is a little more Slaaneshi themed, though.

Kizz- You know, I really haven't decided whether I want to enter the ETL or not. competitions are cool, but deadlines often make me feel disinclined to work on it.... And we all know I already have issues with painting enough as it is... >.> But I'll think about it, for sure.

 

In other news, got my grades back. All B's across the board, which is fairly good considering I'm generally a lazy ass and usually get C's. I'm slowly maturing over each semester and getting more into the habit of doing my work when I need to and not wait until the last minute, which is really one of my most glaring flaws. So with that, I've got a few things I want to try and paint in the very near future. First I need to finish painting a Tervigon for my brother's birthday, but after that I would like to try and dish out some test models for my Word Bearers and my new DIY Chapter I'm starting, the Shadows of Mysis. With that in mind, feel free to torment and nag me to all hell if need be to get me to actually paint things and post them.

 

Who knows, I may not shoot you for it.

I understand completely. I wont be doing much work on my own entry for at least a month because of exams and uni assignments. I'm hoping to get some work done durring my end of semester break, plus the deadline is in August (hopefully I can get my DP finished by then...).

As per your request Noctus, I have something to say, other than that I really like the dread, and he looks best w/the auto-cannon tilted up, maybe with steam coming off the barrels.
