Wolf_Pack's Blood Angels - Conversions and Kit Bashes

Yeah they have no time for a haircut as long as there are still heretics around.

There are bound to be some bald ones and others might shave their heads. With the propensity for going into battle without a helmet it is a good idea too, lest the Wyches start hair pulling.

Alright brothers,I have a vital and completely silly question for you all.

As I finish painting my chapter to company strength, I am looking to add something big for apocalypse. Should I get two baneblades (to be properly blood-angelified) or a warhound titan ( to also be properly blood angelified.

I feel like baneblade would be an proper asset to the scale of miniatures I own, while a titan is just bloody massive and overkill. I'd like some input, no matter how rediculous!

it you take all the rivets of the stormlord and clean it up like a space marine tank then paint it red and add all the blood angel icons it would look amazing. same with the baneblade but i prefer the mega bolter (more blood angely) and its a transport. it wont look out of place next to the baals.

What a choice!

A Titan is definitely a personal investment, less likely to be passed on if it no longer fits your needs etc.  You have to want one, and want one specifically to fill a role you have for the blood and sweat you will need to spill to justify it.

On the flip side, the Baneblades are less moola, easily passed on to IG players if they no longer fit your needs, coming in pairs so as to be double trouble - but simply doesn't have the same awe factor by a country mile.  Yes, you are right, they fit in better overall on table top sized games, more viable in other types of games as other players could counter them with similar strength, not everyone owns a titan sized model.

However, if it were me, although I don't know the rules and unsure on whether they would be allowed in the format you were looking for, I would be very sorely tempted by the sexier looking Sicaran tanks or Legion Glaives.  Probably not the same awe factor for apoc games, nor for the table show either.

I'd rather see a Titan than a pair of baneblades though, what better way to say - we are BA's with a full size army and the strength of your pre-heresy founders - than with a Titan ?

Definitely a hard choice... While you can kit out the Baneblades to different specs, and they are nice, I like the thought of Assault Marines and Baal Preds swarming around the feet of a Titan. Mass destruction is very Blood Angelfied.

After a long consideration, which includes transportation issues and play opportunities, I will go with 2 shadowswords. Expect them to be converted to properly represent the greatness of the sons of Sanguinus!
