TITHI decided that I needed to sort out my hobby.....so decided to sell my Dark Angels 'greenwing'.  It's the first project I started and would have been the last to be completed so thought I'd be better off cutting losses

So, good bye fair Angels but don't worry, I still have well over half the Deathwing sitting in the display case!

Today in the hobby I received my White Dwarf and browsed the army of the month about Blood Ravens.

This sums up my reaction:

Right?! Rik Turner's army is gorgeous!

*ahem*

Today in the hobby, I geeked out over White Dwarf's Army of the Month. I've got so many ideas for conversions now...

TITH I went to my local Gee Dub to pick up my BoP box and primer. I ordered online to have it ship to my closest store. Since they don't take your phone number online or anything I assumed it would be there as I always preorder online to pick up on release without fail. And they hadn't received it yet. The problem was the primer, which gets delayed by customs. So, if you want your preordered goodies on release, don't order spray paint through the webstore :) Edited by KBA

Today in the hobby I assembled all the legs and torso for the Mk III Marines in BoP, assembled all the backpacks (but left them off the miniatures), and fully assembled the terminators. Next on the

So much yes! This army was on display in the exhibition hall at Warhammer World last time I was there and I left thinking "now I need a load of robed GK counts-as units". Was great to see it in WD this month. A few pics I took during my visit below for any interested in poor quality photography:

As for TITH, I bought a ticket to the 40K Open Days this weekend and snagged a few batches of Tartaros Terminators from eBay :smile.:

YITHI tried stripping paint using isopropyl alcohol and a sonic jewelry cleaner. It takes some scrubbing, but it seems to strip down to primer fairly well, without too much detail loss. I am leaving them to soak and will turn the machine on again tonight to see if it makes it any easier.

TITHI Sorted out what i'm going to be adding to my XIIIth legion army with the prospero box's contents

1 ten man mk 3 veteran tactical squad:ph34r.:

swapped out twelve mk 4 bodies in two legions support squads for twelve mk 3's, Freeing up the mk 4's to round out my tactical squads to twenty men apiece, I just need to find twelve non knobbly shoulder pads to keep them looking the same as the rest of their brethren

1 eight man mk 3 (yes they should be in upgraded mk 4 as the mk 3 never got jump packs but i like the mk 3's look) destroyer squad, They will need some gubbins but easy enough to sort out in time (jump packs, bolt pistols and a rad missile launcher oh my:wink: )

1 five man terminator command squad complete with banner (I love having a vast selection of left over bits to hand)

Also magnetized my praetor's right hand giving him some choices (thanks to the prospero termies the choices now include a volkite charger) which is handy as the thunder hammer paragon sword I initially kitted him out with was actually illegal:blush.: (I still magnetized the hammer though as he just looks cool)

I'm planning on doing the sisters before the custodes as they'll be my reward for finishing off the above lot:blink.:

NITHI'll begin base coating, pose tweaking, stripping out all the blu tak before gluing and magnetizing a few bits here and there:biggrin.:

PS @ Raven I too almost :wub.: squeed:wub.:  like a thirteen year old girl being introduced to her first pony, When I saw those blood ravens once more in the pages of a white dwarf, I actually think I might still have that old issue buried (somewhere) deep in my hobby warehouse room:wink:

last night in the hobby - i actually spent some time painting! The first time seriously doing something in probably 2+ years. It even got to the point i decided to create a wet-palette. at this rate i might even finish a model.

I was particularly impressed to find that most of my paints (excluding necron compound) were still usable with a bit of shaking.
