I underlined the harem duties that it explicitly states they performed in that direct quote from the second edition codex, how much clearer do you want me to make it? I think he was just looking for a reference of where in the codex it was. I'll have to take a look in the current codex to see if its one of those things they removed or if I missed it, since I don't have a 2e codex. Duke Danse Macabre
Got it in one. Only if you get your knowledge on harems from Hollywood. >> But maybe it's just a Britishism - "exotic skills" generally refers to sexual things. BitsHammer
To be technical, the definition of Harem includes a group of female servants: har·em ˈherəm/ noun noun: harem; plural noun: harems (in former times) the separate part of a Muslim household reserved for wives, concubines, and female servants. Also exotic skills can still have a large range of implications beyond porking an old man. I mean exotic is "different, strange or unusual" and skill is "the ability to do something that comes from training, experience, or practice". As such that could include things like juggling Eviscerators or interpretative dancing, or knife throwing, ect. Yes, you can draw the sex idea from the contexts too, but with how much GW ignores that concept I don't think that was the intent. Duke Danse Macabre
So it seems I'm not the only one with a sisters art work file. ;) Personally i really like the mixed Sister of Battle and Inquisitor Cosplay, mainly for the mace though truth be told, I love cosplay prop weapons. Mud Duck
I really like that image of the sister in front of the not-yet donned armour of saint celestine. I believe that is Celestine before the armor. The first thing that I thought was the cherubs saying something along the lines of "Thank the Emperor your finally here! You have any idea how boring it is just to hang around here holding this thing up? I swear I nodded off there a couple times, and Bob over there, he's got a bad case of gas. I just don't want to talk about!" Is it me, or does it look like none of the cos players, minus the seraphim, have (proper) power/back packs on. Your right, the power packs are hard to make and a clunky to wear so allot of people skip them. A shame really, now where else are they going to carry their fire?... ;) Edited February 13, 2015 by Duke Danse Macabre Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/275100-the-art-of-sisters/page/23/#findComment-3949518 Share on other sites

Mud Duck
Clunky I can see but, hard to make?!? The costumes/armor have to be tons more difficult of a build then the packs. I mean, come on, a tube, a square, two spheres, and a trapezoid , seems to me the hard part would be attaching it to the armor itself. Or a billfold, superglue for repairs, duck tape for that creepy fan boi that won't leave you alone, and a small spot for the swag that you picked up earlier in the day. Of course at some point we know the juggling Sister probably had to up her game to flaming Eviscerators, but she's got a good start!
