HH World Eaters Army undertaking.

Recommended Posts

After the completion of my Angron Primarch I thought id start a small army of World Eaters.

I Decided to finally put my L/E MK III Boarding marine together,

I decided he will be the Leader of a small specialist assault squad for games of Zone Mortallis.

Along side some Tartaros Pattern Terminators & A W/E Contemptor Dreadnought.

So ill keep this updated as each stage becomes complete.

As you can see im doing a aged bronze look for all the armour.

im not yet finished im in the last stages all the clean up and fine details to be finished.

Now I've entered the final stage for this model,

I am just waiting on my etched brass and forge world W/E transfers,

tried a new withering technique where I only dry brushed on the white over a black basecoat.

and for a less aged bronze affect on the metallic parts compared to Angrons Armour.

Looks good - a bit on the dirty side but in a good way!

I like a dirty scheme, I'm trying to keep some crisp clean details like that part of the model has been replaced.

I doubt that a world eater would maintain it during battle, it would be easier to just replace sections completely whilst on campaign.

My start to the Tartaros Pattern Terminators, still working on the fine details but im happy with the way its turning out, all of them are under various stages of work so I will update as soon as possible.

I imagine the guy with the chainfist yelling, "Ooh, ooh, can I AXE you a question?"

...you know, because they're world eaters.... msn-wink.gif

Deffinatley but I think its more like hey how do you want to die by chainfist or flame,

his base is going to have a nice burnt raven guard corpse on it.

RAMPAGERS JUST ARRIVED!!

I really like the pose of the last terminator - I take it you're going to position the head looking down the barrel in a "your time is up" fashion?

a bit of cc - I think your white might benefit from being thinned out a bit more, with a couple of thin coats to build it up. It takes longer, but the finish should show the brush strokes a little less.

Overall really nice army this is turning out to be, looking forward to seeing more!

Sorry for blurry shot hands are uneasy due to lack of Coffee

Should be finished by Monday

You really need to try to improve your layering, like someone already pointed out the white looks blotchy and the brush strokes are visible. When painting white (very hard by its own nature) start with a grey and then blend up to white, or possibly prime white from the beginning, then very thin wash of blue.

Same goes fort the blue. Start dark then move up.

Metallics seem fine to me.

Check out the official FW guide

Also consider making a wet pallet

Sorry for the straight on criticism but I'm really just trying to help

That's fine there only the wip shots the finished models look better believe me. I know everyone criticises the white but the uniformity plus the technique work for my visualisation if world eaters I don't want a clean crisp white I want a dirty stained scheme. I don't post the full finished models in this thread they are for my istvaan v thread.

I'm open to people's input but at the same time I can't stand clean world eaters with blood splatter I want them to look damaged and dirty like they are on campaign especially due to them being on istvaan v
