There have been some promotions in the Angels Aptenodytes though. Perhaps....

 

I Retaliation further pledge 1 Razorback with a pintle mounted storm bolter, a twin linked lascannon, a hunter killer missile, and dozer blade for 95 points. In addition a squad of 3 black knights armed with a power maul and melta bombs worth 143 points will be pledged for a total of 238. Right. First-off congratulations to the two most recent completions. You guys you're doing the Lion proud!

Now the situation has changed. The teams are set. It's not about new recruits anymore, it's about completing the first vow early! Last year the DAs and the BTs had roughly the same completion rates in the first vow, but the BTs have managed the bulk of them in early July while the DAs did it much later in August. That meant that the multiplier effect of subsequent vows was much more meaningful in the BT camp, resulting in their clear victory. So coming in late and fulfilling your vow, although welcome, it deprives you of the ability to put in more vows and increase the DA total.

Thankfully, we already have 12 brothers (almost 20% of our total force) who have reported completion of first vow and 10 of them have already committed again for a second vow. Furthermore 4 have declared completion of the second vow and 3 of them have taken the brave step to make a third!!! Given that we are among the more numerous factions, such performace (if continued) can guarantee victory. If procrastination settles in, we will lose and we'll have no one to blame for it but ourselves...

BUT REMEMBER: IF BY AUG 15 YOU HAVE AN UNFINISHED VOW ALL YOUR PREVIOUS VOWS ARE NULLIFIED AND WILL COUNT FOR NOTHING!!!

So before you take your next vow be aware of the stakes... msn-wink.gif

You can still play along as an out-of-competition entry. This means that your vow will be recorded in the list, you still have to meet the Aug 15 deadline, and you can post your pics here in this thread. It's just that the points of your vow will not be added to the DA total. Other than that you can enjoy the journey... So, shall I put you up for o-o-c? :)

 

Forgot to mention that you're eligible for the Badge of the Artisan and you can wear the Oath of Moment banner in your sig, as you will be eligible for the Custos Fidei banner if you make it, or the dreaded "Oath Breaker" banner if you fail.

As per the latest FAQ, sergeants now can't swap weapons so he is a counts-as SB&ES, meaning 5 less points than vowed. Whic should be 380 if I'm not mistaken.
