Hmmmmm, my or statement says 250, but that doesn't sound right.... A press with LC upgrades shouldn't be too much, and I think te whirlwinds 80? Anyone clarify this?

If I built a top hatch containing a chronus model, could that be a part of a vow?

I would think so, as it's supplementary but separate to the other models and he is a valid and current unit in the Codex. Even as "Part of a model" from the waist? up, he counts as far as I can see. Are you going to have a Vehicle mode Chronus (as in the torso) and a full model for if/when his ride blows up?

As I recall, Captain Semper did mentioned that vows could include more than one unit/model of the same kind (eg 10 Marneus Calgar), but he also mentioned that ultimately the Frater would have to put up with those models. In your case, having Cronus for use on a vehicle and one as a fully functional Marine is very logical and allowed smile.png

You'd have to clarify with the good Captain if it's okay though to be sure smile.png

(unfortuantely I have only cell phone, however better photos have been arranged with my brother's wife, but it will take some time) And as I need a second vow - Razorback - here is the photo:

My fifth vow is now complete.  Here's a group shot of the finished models.  (I'm kinda annoyed; some of them got attacked by the fuzzy sealant monster.  I had to repaint about a half dozen of them, and discard one poor non-vow extra tac marine who got particularly caked with it.  Yuck!)

Anyway, this is of necessity my last vow.  It also more or less finishes my Space Marine force, with multiples of just about everything I migth want to run: a full battle company, 4-5 squads of vets, about half a bike company, and large armory of vehicles.  I may take some pics of the whole lot and post them to the hall of honor.

Oh - My - God. I wanna have time and dedication to have that big army painted in the time!

 

Anyway - my second vow. Entry photo has been shot yesterday, following up is todays update. Alpharius  bless airbrush!

 

I, Vorganov, answer the call of E TENEBRAE LUX and make a second vow to complete  Rozorback with Twin-Las, HK Missile and Storm bolter for 95pcs and SM Tactical Squad with Plasma Gun for 100pts on or before august 15th. Success will bring eternal glory to Emperor and Alpharius Omegon and failure will doom me to bear the badge of shame until year end.

There is mistake on the calculation, five man squad cant take plasma gun, so please recalculate it 10 pts less ;-D

I was under the impression that things like that don't mater, as you could be filling out a squad you already started...

 

I've got my white 79% done. Then it's just the gold, red, and touch up to the blue.... The metal and the black. Then I'm done. Soon I hope....

I thought that this might be of interest to those following this thread.  Here is complete Space Marine force, and a link to some more over in the Hall of Honor.  The ETL stuff makes up most of the armory in the back, and the white-helmeted vets on the right side. (I hope this isn't too off topic.)

To everybody who has completed vows - great work ladies and gents. It's nice to see the IA forum start to pick up some steam after being dormant for so much of the event. Every completion helps and goes towards putting the Codex Chapters where they should be, at the pinnacle of the Astartes.
