Tinfoil Terrors: GP's Grey Knights

Recommended Posts

I've been meaning to paint my old Demonhunters force for quite some time now, and it seems that Captain Semper was nice enough to provide me with a new ETL to do so!

I, Grey Paladin, answer the call of E TENEBRAE LUX and vow to complete the following strike force from Codex: Grey Knights for a total value of 2,070 points on or before August 15th. Success will bring eternal glory to the Grey Knights, and failure will doom me to bear the Badge of Shame until the year-end.

1 Grey Knight Grand Master with Nemesis Halberd & 3 Servo-Skulls - 195 points

1 Grey Knight Librarian with Nemesis Halberd & 3 Servo-Skulls - 170 points

10 Paladins with 4 Psycannons - 630 points

10 Paladins with 4 Incinerators - 570 points

1 Vindicare Assassin - 145 points - Painting Complete

5 Purgation Knights with 4 Psycannons - 180 points - Painting Complete

5 Purgation Knights with 4 Psycannons - 180 points

Total: 2,070 points, 39 models

This is hopefully the first of many vows, as I have over a full company of metal GKs I need to complete. For now, here are some pre-work shots:

Brother-Captain or Grand Master - Nemesis Halberd & Storm Bolter

Librarian - Nemesis Halberd & Storm Bolter (Needs to be drilled, or maybe swapped for a wrist-mounted version)

First Batch of Terminators - Between these and those currently stripping I have 40ish Termies with 6 Incinerators and 8 Psycannons

First Purgation Squad - 4 Psycannons

Second Purgation Squad - 4 Psycannons (one is still taking a bath, along with lots of buddies)

Now I need to dig out 6 servo-skulls and get painting!

Thanks Firepower, I'll do my best!

This has nothing to do with the ETL, but since the first batch of Knights is taking me longer than expected, I thought I'd throw it up here. This Crusader was my first attempt at NMM, and though he looks sweet on the table, there's no semblance of blending, so up close he's a bit jarring.

I don't think you need to snap a photo at every stage of the painting process, just start and finish.  He looks pretty good.  It's odd to see a blue Vindicare, though.  I feel like you cheated on the rifle a bit, too, making it all one solid silver piece. ;)
