After a failed attempt at maintaining a campaign due to lost players, I'm looking to attempt running Deathwatch once more.  I have a great deal of experience running the 40kRPGs and even greater experience running RPGs in general so hopefully you can expect quality.  I know Deathwatch is quite combat-heavy so I do my best to spice things up and to bring in character back stories, personal goals, and dynamic elements to make things more interesting than just mowing down another horde of orks.

We'd be playing via Roll20 so a mic is a requirement.  We'd also be making use of the errata and a few adjustments from Only War.

For characters, I have every Deathwatch book so please don't be limited to first founding chapters or core book chapters.  In addition, I'd be working with each of you to design and flesh out your characters.

I'd be running the adventure module Final Sanction to begin with and then take things from there once everyone is comfortable.  If the three players who stuck with me in the last campaign wish to join, you guys move to the head of the line.  In total, I'd like to get 6 players, though 4 or 5 is acceptable as well.  Newcomers are welcome but I'd very much appreciate it if you are new that you set aside some time to meet on Roll20 separately so that I can explain everything without wasting other people's time.

Hope to hear from anyone interested.

Welcome to the Deathwatch.

I might be interested, but can only be available Tuesday and Wednesday.  Does that fit in?  I'll have to Google Roll20 and have a look about.  I'm on the Leftist Coast and wish to play a Space Wolf (of course). I have most of the books and just finished reading "Deathwatch", the recently relesed BL paperback.

I have:

The Core BRB

First Foundings

Honor The Chapter

Rites of Battle

Mark of the Xenos

The Emperor Protects

The Achilus Assault

Rising Tempest

FWIW, I will be a new character but I am not unfamiliar with RP.  WAY back in the day, I care NOT to state when, I used to play weekend matathon D&D sessions, Star Fleet Battle and so on.  Though it has been many many moons, I am not a pure neophyte.  Though they may be shriveld, I have deep roots.

Unfortunately, Wednesday doesn't work for me.  Tuesday works but I'd guess that it might be difficult for other people.  For now, good to have some interest.

Those days are my weekend and I work rotating shifts.  I could participate at other times depending on my shift and so on.  Those are just the very best days.  I offered them rather than joining and only being able to play sparingly and at odd intervals.  No prob if I can't get in.  Let me know when you do play and I'll at least sit in and watch when I can.

I d/l'd the Final Sanction and will give it a read over when I get home from work this morning.  I also got the eratta because...well, because.  Roll20 looks pretty cool, have signed up.  Even if I don't get in because of availability, I'd like to observe if able when my work schedule allows if that'll be okay.

Umm...the point of an adventure is that the players haven't read it.  There's no point in playing if you already know everything that's going to happen.

I might be interested, will see how this develops.

Good to hear.  Any particular day works best for you?  Any particular character idea you might've had?

Count me in , again!

Good to have you back.

Im super keen, and my daughter helped me create this guy already, though im worried the stats might suit a combat character better;

Tarnos Kul

Techmarine of the Iron Tigers

(Iron Hands)

8,8 (46) / 9,2 (41) / 7,9 (46) / 10,10 (50)/ 1,8 (39)/ 6,4 (40)/ 4,9 (41)/ 8,7 (45)/ 6,10 (46).

He is Taciturn and has Clash of Vengeance back story; his chapter is Scions of Mars and ill finish an entire back story and character sheet if I can run this chapter (its pretty much just Iron Hands).

Otherwise id like to run a Novamarines Devastator or Librarian.

Also im pretty much able to play whenever, its currentlty Saturday 1830 in New York and Sunday 0830 here - i could do this sort of time if you guys wanted.

He's a space marine.  All of them are combat characters.  Being a techmarine or an apothecary certainly doesn't mean you don't fight.

Not that I don't believe your rolls, but I was hoping we could do all of our rolls and character creation on Roll20 so we have everything nicely recorded.

I'll PM everyone with the link to join the campaign on Roll20 and we'll set up a time for everyone to get together.

Hes the third character my daughter rolled for me, the first two were for Black Crusade and needless to say I liked these numbers lol.

Absolutely cool for rolling new ones though, and glad I can play a Techmarine - should be fun.

Do you need a fillable PDF character sheet template? I have a good one here I can share.

See you guys there :)

Character sheets have been turned in by some of us, I don't know if the "whole" team is complete yet though.  PM Jareddm and he'll sort things for you.  Have you played before?  I think we have an interesting hodge-podge so far.  I recall a Techmarine, a couple of Tacticals and I'm a Wolf Scout.  There are others too.  This weekend isn't happeneing as people are busy.  If you get in, here is the premise we are operation on at this point moving forward.

Previous game of Final Sanction got 2-3 fire fights in.  Perhaps someone triggered a Warp Vortex booby trap and *p00f* something happened.  We new players are being briefed en route as replacements/reinforcements about to be dropped in.  We have updated mission intel and are to get an on-site brief once we link up with the remaining members of the Kill Team on the ground.  We will proceed from there......

We will have NO Requisition Points to spend, so Basic Equipment only; Astartes Bolt Pistol, Combat Knife and 3 each Frag and Krak Grenades.  Depending on your Specialty, you may have access to more/different starting equipment.  We have been meeting on Roll20 to get our characters sorted and pass information as well as asking questions and getting answers.  It has been very helpful so far.  This will be my first game of DW and I'm getting kinda stoked in preparation.

I have played Deathwatch once before for a session before my players quit on me (story of my life with RPGs). I have also played WHFRPG 2nd edition, Dark Heresy, Black Crusade and Only War so I am no stranger to the style of game that Deathwatch is in. The PM will be sent right now however.

We have had some technical problems with Roll20 mostly with the voice audio.  We have decided Skype will be an alternate if things don't get sorted on Roll20.

Besides me playing a Space Wolf, we also have a Minotaur and a Blood Angel, I think.  Can't remember what other Chapters are represented.  Jared will be able to get you caught up pretty quick though.

Not sure if we have an Ultramarine or Templar, but we do have a Wolf.....Me :woot:

Not sure if we have an Assault marine either but IIRC we don't.....yet.  Again, ask Jared when he replies to your PM.  He's easy to communicate with and very helpful.  He can give you everything you need to get up to speed with the rest of us.  Not sure wht days and times will work best for you.  We have each shared ours with hims and he is trying to find the best times to set up game sessions.  Right now we are still popping in at Roll20 for helper sessions and just chatting.
