The camo does actually blend in fairly well. O.o

That is pretty cool. I would be worried about loosing them to the grass if you looked away for a while.

Also I love your little Cyclops, it looks pretty much the same as the original. They are so adorable. And people have this irrational fear of them.

hendrik we've been over this - there's a real chance you might lose some in the foliage because their camouflage works too well! laugh.png

I'm sure I'm not the only one who instantly had Ride of the Valkyries playing in my head the moment I saw the first picture... good stuff I look forward to seeing their number grow biggrin.png Sadly I'm out of likes for today so you're going to have to wait tongue.png

When I was a kid, I (as many of us probably did) played with my 'tanks' outdoors in the dirt. Those last few pics bring back some memories.

Wonder how my opponent would feel if the next time I played my IG, all the models tracked in real dirt / mud.

Lol, LGS probably wouldn't approve.

You could always host such a game in your own garden, followed up by a nice barbecue when summer finally starts! An other option consists of making your own table, line it properly with some pond sheet and filling it with mud etc. Heck, you could even turn it into a small garden, bonsai trees included!

We thought of that, but it doesn't really work as someone has to do the BBQ (me) and you can't BBQ and 40k at the same time. I suppose you could have a BBQ afterwards but then that's more time that could be spent playing games! Pizzas are our traditional 40k food, usually followed by a bit of cake for debriefing and of course plenty of drink :)

today i've painted the first guardsmen of my krieg 317th assault brigade. i went with a similar colour sheme as my cadian 812th because:

-this will help to tie both armies together.

-i quite like  all the green DKoK models i've seen on the internet so far.

anyway, pictures!

both armies tie together quite well in my opinion.

about the bases, definetly! but almost none of my cadian 812th  their bases are finished. the DKoK bases were experiments using liquid greenstuff to create a muddy texture.although, although not many of the cadian models are based, my artillery is, and i'm not sure if i feel like rebasing them into muddy terrain since i've added patches of flock to them here and there. when the next DKoK models arrive i'll try to make a muddy base and a current base style and see how they look together. if it doesn't work out i can still alway claim the DKoK 317th alway get the most muddy situations while the cadian 812th armoured battalion and supporting infantry stick to the more solid ground
