jeremy1391
Ok so over the past six months I've amassed about 4500 points of dark angels (consecrators) and painted them to a decent standard. I've decided after painting 2 test minis that I will be making a force of Imperial fists so here we are. Captain Semper
Dark Angels. Not on Badab? You think... From the Chapters above, i'd go for the Sons of Medusa (not a fan of the cabbage green but apparently you're fine with it). I think it's an amazing backround... jeremy1391
I think I'll whip up a test mini from each to figure out which I think I can do the best. No Foes Remain
Astral Claws would look better Seriously though it does look pretty good, it just seems as if the wash was a bit to thick on some parts of him than others. Lachdannan
I do like your use of the Dark Vengeance models. Might do something similar with mine, as they are languishing in the box at the moment. jeremy1391
All it took was about 30 seconds of low power Dremel work and some scraping to undarkanugelify them. I'm liking how they are turning out, and I can get more for dirt cheap! Lachdannan
Sounds good. Been awhile since I've used the dremel for plastic, so shouldn't be too hard to do. Using it on metal always seems to damage my fingers in some way. jeremy1391
Basically for the dremel all I do is put on a sanding wheel and use it to remove the majority of the dark angels symbol. Then use a hobby knife to scrap off the rest. Quick and easy! Make sure the backpack is not attached to the model first otherwise it makes it hard to get the whole symbol off. Bannus
Those are some sweet IF's - I love your yellow. Not too pale and not too orange. I think you are taking the battle damage just a bit (and I mean just a little bit - just personal taste) too far. Other than that, I think they look great. Lachdannan
A good selection there. I myself like battle damage, though from experience I prefer lots of small nicks and chips to big ones. Takes more time but the end result does look good. jeremy1391 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/278226-jeremy1391s-imperial-fists-gravis-captain-14feb21/#findComment-3420515 Share on other sites

With that epic amount of battle damage it would serve you well to put them on some real nice bases, thinking urban warfare or trench works. Terrain along that line would make it believable that they would get their armor so dinging up, especially along their knees and toes.
